Alliance spot suggestions

A lot of people have complained that alliances are making the game "pay to win." One thing that would really help out would be if a tournament rewards somewhere could be an alliance spot itself. To limit the financial damage, you could probably make it such that the top five 5-man alliances get an extra spot. This would both encourage people to join initial alliances and reduce the "pay to win" sentiment that currently pervades the alliance setup.

There also needs to be a war chest to allow members to contribute equally to opening up alliance spots. The way the game is currently asking a single person to open up a spot can be difficult to deal with. In effect that makes it such that everyone benefits from the contributions of one person without necessarily giving back to that person. It would be a much better social game if everyone could contribute in some way to make the alliance itself stronger.
