Roster feels stalled

I was hunting for peoples input on my roster.

full mostly up to date at
https://mpq.gamependium.com/rosters/TinTaiwan/

overview.  104 spots
5*  12  (half 3 or 4 covers, half 1 or 2)
4*  38  (no champs some at 11 or 12, a lot at 1-5 covers)
3*  42 (38 champed)
2* half farming / half in rotation for DDQ
1* just jug

I have 2 open spot (one held by a 1star, the other by agent v)

I am just not sure if I should be doing something different.  day 550ish and still no 4 star champs.

if this were your roster, what would you do?

My current plan is continue to use CP and LT as I almost have Spiderwoman and coulson champed (both 11).  Trying to do it before she rotates out.   Red hulk at 12, set as bonus hero.

BH OML/Thanos and Daken (for x23)

If you keep opening CP, all of a sudden you will have multiple 4 stars at 13 covers, and not have the iso to champ them. It then becomes an iso race rather than a cover race.

I had all 3 stars champed before I started champing 4's, and whilst feeling like you are stalling when chasing covers, this quickly becomes all about iso as soon as you start getting 4's to 13 covers.

Keep opening CP until you get a 4 star at 14 covers (13 and one on the vine) then proceed to stop opening covers until you have that 4 champed, rinse and repeat. At the start of the year, I only had 1 4 star champ (H/B) and now I am sitting on 12 4 star champs, with 6 more at 13 covers waiting for ISO.
It takes a while to get there, but once you are, prepare to get on the iso hamster wheel

The resources are there for the development. Question is how much time you waste spend on the game.

In general you are primed for the 4* transition but not yet ready. I would keep opening the legendaries to get more 4* covers. Make sure you hit max progression in PvE (essential if you want to move forward) and at minimum 575 in PvP. So far it seems you don't have that many covers for latest 12 so you might not be getting all the CP rewards (also from 2* farm and 3* champions). Average for a player with the above gameplay is about 5-6 classic legendaries a week.

As for targets - I would ignore Spider-Woman. She is ok, not top tier and will rotate out in a week. Coulson is fine. Having Rhulk as bonus is a good idea as he, when boosted, is a one-man-army. I would wait with the move to 4* champion land till you have 2-3 ready, preferably on the top (Marvel, Medusa, Coulson, Rhulk, Iceman, Jean, Peggy - you get the picture). So gather the ISO (you will need over a million to make the move in one go) and keep adding the covers.

I suggest you stop leveling 5*. They are not helping you. On the contrary - they make the scaling more difficult, can put you in a harder MMR in PvP and you are still easy picking for  a championed boosted 4, not to mentioned leveled and covered 5*. They also consumed lots of ISO that should have go to 4*.

When possible - finish championing 3* and rotate the full 2* farm. There is no point of keeping anybody for DDQ specifically - you just need to have all of them rostered. At any point in time you will have 2 or 3 2* with lvl 100+ and they can handle any 2* node in DDQ (even at 94 they can, probably lower as well).

Got that 5* advice TOO late,  and I have been kicking myself.  (well actually others doing it for me)

I am sitting on 1.2 million iso.   It is way too slow to get iceman or anyone rotated out.   Out of the current heroic/leg pack thinking the best are Bl4de, Medusa, Captain M4rvel, Agent Coulson.  but hard to tell without playing them.  (Gamora looks good too)   but it is random draw land.   I get about 1 LT or CP draw a day.

I think Magic pretty much hit it. You're actually really close to hitting the 4* transition in a big way, and with the way 4* covers are doled out these days, you'll hit it all at once. 1.2M ISO really isn't all that much when you consider the 4* champing costs and the fact that you'll only really draw the latest 12. Combine that with an eventual rhulk champion... well, you can see where this is going.

At each level, you reach a point where you have just about everybody champed and you accumulate more ISO than you know what to do with. Then you start getting the covers for the next higher level, start champing them, and you end up with more potential champs than you have ISO to deal with them. I'm sure you had an experience like this when moving 2*->3*; the only difference between that and 3*->4* is that the numbers and time are a lot larger.

I will disagree with one thing; 4* champ quantity is very important. Once you have 1-2 4* boosted every week, you'll find that everything gets easier. Even PVP, although if you don't have the top tier then going over 650 is still a slog. If you get Spider Woman done, I'd consider champing her (although 5 purple and 5 red means you don't really have to respec until you have other champs that have a better red). The other key point here is that champing a 4* will do nothing to your scaling; between your leveled 5* and boosted 3* you have nothing to worry about. Of course, don't put your bonus heroes in her; they're much better used on top-tier only.

Beyond that, stay the course, you're doing all of the right things.

    Good luck!

How many 3 star bonus heroes have you selected? I think you should set only 1 and get some of the higher level champion rewards from it.

I only have Daken BH - looking at potential champ reward of x23.  And he is a true healer.

I previously had Thor, for Rulk. But I drew a BH red cover and have five rulk reds.
