Partial rewards for downing enemy team members after loss

As it stands now, a loss is a loss. It doesn't matter whether you get completely curbstomped by the enemy team, or fight a pitched battle that comes down to the wire. This idea would serve to reward people who fall into the latter category - a reward for playing well and downing enemy team members, even if they lose.
But what to give as a reward? ISO is probably not an option - you get 20 ISO just for repeating a completed prologue node, so unless you were to award 5 ISO per downed character (pointless), it doesn't make sense. [Though increasing the 20 ISO reward to 50 ISO would help... but that's a different debate!]
How about boosts? If you lose, having downed 1 or 2 of the enemy team, you'd get to keep a boost that you've used. There are problems here too: what if you didn't use boosts, or used only one boost to begin with?
In PVP matches, the answer's simple: decrease the amount of points you lose if you've downed enemy team members in the match. But this doesn't help in PVE.

This idea came out of a more general desire to mitigate the immense negative effects of a loss (lost HP, time, boosts etc.) - it's clear that it needs some more work and thought, but then that's what this discussion forum is for!
