FRQ: forfeit prize cover option or use high mark

The tournament scores counting toward a Season will surely force many people going for high points just for that season score even if not really interested in that particular tournament prizes.

What will result lots of *** covers going to people not needing them at all and just sold off, while leaving the runner-ups starved.

I see two ways to prevent that:

1. instead of the final standing let the highest reached point in tournament count toward the season score. So one could go for high points then just allow dropping down not losing anything important

2. Allow forfeiting the prize cover. When it arrives we have a 'Claim' button. It would be a good place to have a 'Forfeit' button (and while at it the 'Sell' button we requested many times). Forfeited cover would be granted to next eligible people -- say a top10 cover going to #11, if he passes too further down until claimed (certainly #11 having only a single shot even if multiple forfeits upstream).

It could also grant some ISO up to the usual sell value (what if considered serious extra handout can be deducted from player claiming the cover.

  • Dumb side question, but what does FRQ stand for?

On topic, I like suggestion #2, but not so much #1. #1 seems like it could be abused by some, allowing for bloated scores that aren't a true representation of how well you did in an event.

    FRQ: feature request.
  • One idea (and I'd like to see this instituted in a few places): allow us to select a token in place of a cover for a prize level; maybe a standard in place of a 1* or 2*, and a heroic in place of a 3*. Looking and the SHIELD simulator rewards, I need exactly one cover - the GSBW at 3200 - and nothing else. Even regular tokens would give me something to play for.
