lv272 Quake got it done without any fuss. 5/3/5 should be the only build
got my second Ironheart Green in a row to make her 5/4/2

I always struggle with this one. End up having to use damage boosts even with a level 225 5/3/5 build.
Won 2nd attempt got Medusa purple which I had to bin.0 -
1 vs 1 quake really exposes her inadequacies. blue does negligible damage . and her yellow does nothing if you're not bombarded with aoe damage. she's a 1 trick pony. time for a buff i think. make her blue deal 500-1000 damage per tile destroyed. and give her yellow an active component.
that is all. move thread in 3... 2... 1...0 -
I disagree. I had her at 5/3/5 for this match. Ignore yellow and gather blue and green. Once enough blue, nuke the yellow on board or wait for IW to go invisible to destroy those yellow tiles. Remember that Quake does get the damage for destroyed tiles with her blue power, but only at the levels of her character, so destroying blue/green/yellow is optimal.
Even if IW is invisible, Quake's green is AoE so does damage anyway. It was a fun fight.5 -
It took me quite a few matches, but I beat IW pretty easily. I gathered yellow, blue and green, so that IW wouldn't be able to. At a certain point, IW fired off blue, so I countered by firing my own blue. Then, when I had over 22 green, I fired two greens in a row, and she was finished.
IW fired a green against me as well, but fortunately it wasn't at 5 covers, or I would've been toast.0 -
Mine is 1/2/4, lvl 152. +2 all, +100% match, +40% green. Won on the first try. Save up at least fires of blue before you earthquake. Should generate some criticals.2
-
I had to boost her (+2 to Blue, +2 to All, +200% Match Damage) but I did end up winning with a 1/3/4 Quake.
The worst part of the Crash is making sure that you match every single green tile you can and that you have enough blue in reserve for when the invisibility/force bubbles go off. It is a very difficult crash but it not impossible if you play smart and I guess boost your Quake up.1 -
Just because a character doesn't do particularly great 1v1 doesn't mean they're so weak they need a buff. Crash is literally the only time 1v1 even happens - the game isn't really based around it.
By the same token, pre-rework Elektra was actually awesome in a 1v1 scenario - how often was that useful?0 -

Yeah, my 4/0/1 Quake is in a similar boat. I'll keep trying for the next 5 days since Daisy does literally nothing else for me when she's not the featured 4* PVE character, but she'll only win if I get lucky.1 -
Full Boosts on my 4/5/4, 140 Quake got there on the 2nd try. Focused on denying green and blue. IW never fired a power, and my 2nd Green power took her down.
Got a Green Carol (champ level).0 -
I forgot to re-spec her so she went in 5/5/3 lvl 271, took twice to beat her. She drops her invisibility and I'm able to match away the invisibility tile, but that pesky shield stuck around annoying me... so I drop her blue, and out of the 6 yellows on the board, it clears the 5 that are not the shield tile... doh!
I did end up beating her with about 3K left, but the first match was horrific, she was gaining cascades, and then laid out all 3 abilities in a row and was tearing me up. After dropping her strike tiles, I'm just wincing as one match 3 leads to another match 3, leading to another match 3, then a match 4... just thinking to myself, stop already!

My 1/3/4 at 172 took 4 tries. Two lousy boards, one game where I made some dumb plays, and then got a very player-friendly board the 4th go around.

Clashes are typically bad examples of characters strengths/weaknesses. (they are also horrible "challenges" in general, and may as well just award you on how many covers a player has since we aren't all on the same playing field) Some characters powers are far stronger solo than with others.
For example Punisher max.
Quake is a team player.
Her powers have little value in a damage race, (which most clashes are).
(I also think it's... interesting, when players present strategies for fully covered characters and then tell others it should be easy, i mean, if you have them fully covered, I'm going to assume it's going to be easier...)

Took 2 tries with a lv 213 5/1/4 Quake. First go was going well until she fired off force bubbles and immediately lucks into a triple cascade. That took off about 8000 hp and it didn't take long to finish me off. 2nd turn went much better and I finished her off with a quake and had over 7000 hp left.
LT gave me champed agent venom0 -
5/2/5 LVL 250 Quake had no trouble at all with IW - no boosts, first try
LT was a yellow Cloak and Dagger, first cover.0 -
Scraped through with my Champed Quake. Bad board and nice drops for Inv Woman meant she got of 3 green attacks. to my one. I blued her to death. veeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeery slowly0

Took 3 tries. Second try I died to an invisible IW with 32 HP left, thanks to one protect tile that prevented me from killing her with Earthquake
Ah well.0 -

Mine is at 1/1/5 and Level 156 (I spent 20K iso leveling her)
Won on my second try. with +2 all, +100% all, +50% gr/bl.
Did just that. Saved my blues up for invisibles, but also when she throws out her blue strike tiles. If she is invisible, your green can do damage because it's AOE.
Got another Blade for my champion, which is OK if I didn't have covers dying on the vine.0 -
To my surprise I managed this one on my second attempt with my 156 1/1/5 Quake. The first try I got demolished - she had collected 25 green AP by the time I had 3 green AP. Whee! On the second try it was close, as I ate two of her green attacks. I managed to win with 361 HP remaining. My blue actually did more damage than my green when I targetted blue to destroy (great for taking out her strike tiles.)0
