MTGPQ = interactive movie instead of a game?

Beside endless loops being possible also the "randomness" is somewhat reducing MTGPQ to an interactive movie instead of a real game.
I already know after round 1 if I lose or win:
Lose: Bad starting hand, no gem combinations available; opponent plays three cards in round 1.
Win: Average or good starting hand and playing at least on card in round 1; opponent is not able to play anything in round 1.

So my feeling is: the only aspect of gaming is the creation of decks itself - of course with minimum effect on the game play afterwards. Everything else is determined by the starting conditions.

Hm, after writing this I did lose my next 2 matches - making it 4 of the last 5 matches lost. I usually have a win percentage of above 80%. And now in the next match I do get the same card 3 times in the starting hand. Aeh - should I stop opening discussions about randomness? Seems Fortuna does not like me - or the programmers ;)
