Vaulting and long-time rosters

Hi all, looking for a bit of advice/help from anyone willing to give it!  

I've been playing MPQ for what feels like ages (1125 days) so I've got a fairly full roster. I've been in the 3*/4* transition stage for ages which has resulted in a lot of 4* characters with only a few covers on each. 

Ive been hanging on to legendary tokens and command points for a long time in the hope the characters I need will appear in the packs on offer. However this doesn't seem to be happening.

so I suppose my question is do I sell off all my old 4* characters to free up roster space and concentrate on the newer editions? And will I ever get a chance to finish off my old 4*'s?

I wouldn't recommend selling old characters (I haven't), if only because I'm a Collector, so I want 'em all.

If you want a more Objective reason, consider: All characters, including vaulted ones, may be necessary for Essential nodes including general PvE events, DDQ nodes, and for Mega "Boss Fight"-type Events.  And for PvP, having a strong featured character (instead of the loaner) can help achieve better score, and again, Vaulted characters are used in PvP, too.

Far too early to tell.at this point also. How will you feel if two months from now they make a vaulted character CP token or some sane solution. You'll regret selling them. Riding the storm out is about all we can do at this point.
