Nothing worth playing or buying

I've been playing this game regularly for about a year, and have made about $150 in total purchases spread out over that time.  So I'm not a whale, but I'm certainly a paying customer.  This is my very first post on this forum, which I haven't really read much in the past.  I signed up just to make this post, because I used to really like this game, and want to like it again. Over the last several updates, the amount of time I play the game each week has dropped off tremendously.  And my desire to make any puchases has dropped to nothing.  The reasons are pretty simple.

Most of the Events only offer meager Kaladesh block rewards, and I already have almost all of the Kaladesh Rares.

Quick battles are gone, so there is no place to go and play for a chance to win a Rare or better card from another block.

I've won most of the Story rewards, and chasing after the few remaining story rewards is tedious and repetative.

The weekday Trial of the Plane events is a waste of crystals (especially if you're not in the Platinum Tier for that color).  And the new-ish Jewel currency makes the purchase of Mythic cards much more expensive.

When an event really worth playing does come around once every two weeks or so, the event timer limits your ability to play when you want to play (I have to set an alarm to remind myself to log in). And its so competative that you need a nearly perfect score to get a Rare or better card.  And even then, most of the time, the reward will be a duplicate.

On top of that, on the weekends, when I actually have more than 30ish minutes of free time per day, is typically when the least number of events is offered, and the ones available often have the worst rewards.

And finally, there usually isn't an opportunity to buy the specific cards I want as a special offer.  The last time I was bored with my deck options I spent real money to buy a few Premium Packs worth of Crystals, and received precisesly 0 new cards.  Everything was a duplicate, even though I only own about 8 Mythic cards and less than half of the non-Kalsdesh rares.

So my fairly simple suggestions are as follows:  There should be at least four different events every day.  Event rewards should be varied between the different blocks.  A perfect score in a Trials of the Plainswalker event should have a reward of 45 crystals (regardless of Tier).  And there should always be some specific Uncommon, Rare, and Mythic that are seperately available for purchase as a special offer at some reasonable price, and rotate each week.

I know that this boils down to "please give me more rewards."  But the point that I am trying to make is that the net result of the recent updates is that I play the game a lot less, when I do play its extremely unlikely that I get a new card, the repetative events mean that I end up using the same cards over and over again, and thanks to Event Decks I end up playing against decks with a similarly narrow band of cards, and there is no point for me to spend any addional real money on the game since it doesn't give me any new options.

Thank you for considering my views.  I hope future updates improve the game.

PersonMan, you articulate my sentiments exactly.

I recommend Fire Emblem Heroes to occupy your free time in between mtgpq games. Who knows, you may want to play FEH full time with its better and more generous reward system.

As for me, FEH is not available in my country's appstore. And for administrative reasons, i cannot create a USA store account. Hence, I decided to read more books, do more gym activities and watch yaleonline lectures in between my mtgpq games.

If you're bored with the game give it a brake. Come back in a couple of months to see whats new.

Worked with me when Marvel got tedious.

instead of just selling lilly 2 in the vaults they could
really make the events an event by selling associated
random card picks. eg lilly 2 events can have a limited
time special zombies/vampire pack. it allows players
to get more from the game through timely purchases.

To be honest, without the mandate of coalition events in the last week, I've had zero desire to play at all, and not really missed it.
