What to do with new character covers

Whenever I get a new 2 or 3 star cover I usually buy a new roster slot just in case that character is required to play an event. I do not hold out too much hope that I will get a lot of covers for that character to build a strong player. Is this smart or a waste of HP? What does everyone else do when they get new character covers? Example: On my roster, I have only one cover for X-Force Wolverine, Loki, Classic Mags, Punisher, and Patch; also, i currently have rewards available to recruit Invisible Woman and Psylocke. Any advice woiuld be appreciated.

  • The way the game is designed (now), you should hold onto every 3-4 star character they throw at you. Because there will be PvE events that +could+ require them, and quite often those nodes are worth more points (and usually have lower-leveled enemies to fight against). Those points (over a long event) can mean a better prize or more progression rewards.

So, even though one cover of IW is worthless (and frankly, even 6-9 covers of her is worthless), it could mean the difference of 100's of HP and a few other needed covers in a PvE event.

Take it from somebody who learned the hard way when he sold all his Daredevil covers when he was introduced. icon_cry.gif

Yeah, I keep covers. All of them, until I have them maxed out at 13 - even if I don't level them up. You never know when you're going to need someone for a required node/event/tourney. It's MPQ law that as soon as you sell-off a character you'll need them in the next event.
  • Thanks for the advice. Glad to hear I was doing something right.
