Quick Battle

Removing quick battle has been detrimental to the game, remove the cheaters would have been better.

    Yeah, if word got out of people getting the ban hammer, it might have fixed some of the cheating...  Why cheat to improve an account you're going to have taken away?  That said, the whole of QB had degraded to who could build the fastest decks and hit play the most times in sequence...   There are other approaches to fixing this too, as you imply though...  Take each issue and fix as is, don't repeal and replace...

    I stil pass reports of suspected cheaters on to Brigby, and he tells me he's actioning them.

    Honestly after wasting so many mana crystals  a on duplicates and seeing the horrendous in-app prices I sometimes wish I knew how to cheat.

    I may be blissfully ignorant, but I was never under the impression that cheating was very widespread or that it affected the outcome of more than the top 5 in any given bracket.  My goal in Quick Battle was usually to get "some gems and a rare", which usually meant top 150.  If there was a cheater or two running around, maybe it meant that I got #121 instead of #119 or something.

    It's also possible that it affected just the first bracket, which I tried to avoid like the plague.  Even without cheaters, the first bracket was always filled with the most die-hard try-hards.  People playing 16 hours a day, and winning every 3 to 4 minutes or faster.

    What was problematic about Quick Battle for me is the fact that you could theoretically slog for 72 straight hours in the first bracket and get a lower prize than someone who played 20 or 30 minutes in the last bracket.  That was the glaring issue with Quick Battle, which they never addressed.

    I'll admit that Training Grounds has been great for the "some gems" aspect of my goal, and, while I miss the "and a rare", that was mitigated so far by the ability to trade 150 gems for a random rare.  (Mine were all duplicates, in true Quick Battle fashion).

    But I do know some people whose goal in Quick Battle was to get "a Mythic and a Big Box", and those are the people who might have been affected by the allegations of cheating.  But I also think cheating was a non-issue to approximately 2,990 people out of each 3,000 person bracket.

    I always enjoyed the grind and the satisfaction of it, didn't care so much about the prizes, I just loved playing for hours and seeing my name up on the leaderboards

    @THEMAGICkMAN

    I second this. I liked the grind and I liked having my personal win/loss stats. I still don't understand why they had to take something away in order to give us something new.

    I though that a lot of people didn't like QB because of the timings of the event finishing? People in different timezones would spend hours grinding up into the top 10 place, only to find that they had been overtaken in the early hours of the morning.
    Also people complained about seeing the same repetitive decks and same players always finishing in the same brackets.

    For a noob like me, getting anything as useful as crystals from QB was a rare accomplishment.

    We liked QB.
    It wasn't perfect but nothing in this game is. Yes it had its issues but rather than trying to address those issues they simply took it away.
