just how many bugs are there?

This version of the game is so full of bugs, it's not even fun to play it anymore.

I could list all the ones that have happened to me, but I think they are known to the game developers.

Here is the latest one that just happened to me. I am playing in the Planeswalker Arena event. I just started a battle with my level 60 Koth. My opponent was a level 60 Garruk. I had a creature (4/4 vehicle) on the board, and then my opponent used his ability to summon 4 1/1 Green Snake tokens. I used a spell (Exquisite Firecraft) to destroy it. The next turn, IMMEDIATELY  my opponent had 6 Scrapheap Scroungers on the board (6/5 each for a total of 30/25) and it had berserker and took out my vehicle. Well, he never had Scrapheap Scrounger on the board to begin with, so it should not have been "returned" to the battlefield, and certainly not 6 times at once. Needless to say, I lost the battle a couple turns later.

This is not fun anymore, and my scoring in the events has gone to hell ever since this update happened, as this kind of thing has happened to me several times.

using call the pack to discard scrapheap scroungers
allows them to come back from the destroyed pile
when any of your creature dies.
(I like how you using koth and are complaining about
game mechanics. not aimed at you specifically, just
    funny)

The battle had just started a couple of turns before. How could there be 6 scrapheap scavengers in the graveyard?

Without looking at your Battle Log, hard to tell
for sure. But as HH said, the card Gather the Pack puts 4 creatures in your graveyard. Maybe your opponent cast that twice in the first few turns of the game (only 12 mana, easy to happen with a level 60), was only playing two creatures in the deck, and got a little lucky putting 6 Scrapheaps in the grave.

    I've counted at least 7.

I wish there was a way to look at old battle logs to see exactly what happened.

Well, here's another game bug that just happened to me and I looked at the battle log while in the game to verify that what happened should not have happened. The battle was between two Liliana Last Hopes. Mine is level 56 and opponent was level 60.

Turn 1: I matched 5 black gems, got an extra swap, got 26 + 14, and cast 2 creatures (Heir Of Falkenrath and Platinum Angel).

Turn 2: opponent (drew a card) and cast Shambling Ghoul.

Turn 3: I (drew a card: Malakir Cullblade) and cast Grip Of Destruction, destroying opponent's Shambling Ghoul.

Turn 4: opponent (drew a card)

Turn 5: I (drew a card: titan's presence) and cast Malakir Cullblade.

Turn 6: opponent (drew a card) and cast Noosegraf Mob.

Turn 7: I drew and cast Whispers Of Emrakul, which then triggered opponent's noosegraf mob ability (When any player casts a spell, this creatures gets -1/-1 and you summon 1 2/2 zombie token). Well, the problem is that besides a zombie token, Prized Amalgam came out on the board also, and from there it was all downhill for me, because each turn I was attacking (and destroying) his Prized Amalgam, and each of his turns he was bringing out another zombie token, and also another prized amalgam. Prized Amalgam should never have been summoned. My opponent never cast it, never cast a spell that would have summoned it (such as Gather The Pack) and Noosegraf Mob should not have summoned it, only a zombie token. The battle log clearly showed no spell cast by my opponent, and so the summoning of Prized Amalgam had to be a programming error (just one more in a long list of such in this new update).

Well, needless to say, I lost the battle which I had well in hand, and probably would have won.
Just another example of a game bug causing me to lose a battle, and thus the event ribbons and leaderboard standings. I believe this "Prized Amalgam being summoned when it should not have been" error has happened to me a couple of other times.

Please inform the game developers of this bug, and ask them to PLEASE FIX.
(This game is just not as fun as it was before the update, and although I am now resolved to play it a lot less often, I wish I could go cold turkey on it, but it is a very addictive game.)    ;-)

What about lilies first ability to put the priced amalgam in the graveyard?

Aha, I didn't think of that, but there is no way to know if that is what happened. But I suppose that makes sense, and I'm glad you mentioned that, because that is a strategy I have not considered before, but now will start using.  ;-)

Is not having access to look at the graveyard a feature or a bug?

Your forced discard using whispers of emrakul could very well be the way his amalgam ended up in his graveyard to then be used against you for free. If it was his PA card that was discarded by your spell, then you likely ended up screwing yourself over, but there is no way to know for certain without knowing which card you forced him to discard.
