Dump and Replace?!?!

So I have a 1 cover IM Hulkbuster(Red), Quake(Green) and Kate Bishop(Blue).  And in my rewards bank I have a 5* Silver Surfer(Black), 4* 2 Wasp covers (Yellow & Black), Medusa(Purple) Invisible Woman(Blue).  And in the 3* I have a bunch or Squirrel Girl and Rocket & Groot.

So I am figuring that it's going to be a long time before I see any covers for Quake and Kate, dare I dump them and recruit new?  I am leaning to yes as they will be usable soon, especially Squirrel Girl, she is coming up in the DDQ this week.

I hate to tell people to dump highly rated 4*, but I guess I will for the second time this week.

You won't be champing IMHB, Quake or Kate (or IW or Wasp) anytime soon, so if you have a roster crunch I'd look there.

However, given the choices, I would probably only roster Medusa, and I'd probably sell Thing instead since he's not nearly as useful if you ever get the covers as the others are. She'll be in tokens for a long time to come, so you can choose who to sell, or if you're near 1000HP, just hold off and buy the slot. The only other one I'd consider rostering is Wasp since I love her.

If you can manage the self-control (and it's taken me almost 2 years to get there), then I suggest not opening tokens for a while, and not opening Legendaries or spending CP for a long while. Essentially, the strategy is to get to 1000 HP and then open tokens until you get somebody you want to roster. Spend the HP on the roster slot and stop until the next time you get 1000HP. That way you maximize your resources. By not spending your CP and Legendaries, you'll also cut down on the number of useless 4* on the roster until you really want to start building that level (after you have 10-20 3* champs, which will be much more useful in the coming months than a 6 cover Cage).

If you can't manage the self control, you'll just have to get over the fact that you'll have to sell covers you'd rather not sell. It doesn't hurt for too long, and you can take comfort that we've all been there.

    Hope that helps!

Abominitrix said a lot of good things up there.  I'd like to echo and emphasize his comments on Wasp.  Wasp can help out a lot even if undercovered.

With that being said, I took a look at your roster and am going to offer a few thoughts.

At this point, your roster is very top heavy.  I think that you need a good base to progress more quickly through the system.  Specifically, I don't see any one star characters on there and only three two star characters.  I highly recommend looking around the forum for the benefits of two star farming.  If you want to boost your non-iso resources, that's a great source, specifically of Hero Points which is what you need to get more roster spots.

Also, I would spend a roster spot on Juggernaut.  Deadpool's Daily Quest is a huge source of iso and to a lesser extent tokens.  Play that every day, as many nods as you're able.

The third thing that I'd say is stop leveling your 5 stars, due to scaling effects it makes your battles tougher.

What you want to do, as much as possible, is to get a stable of characters at around the same level to be your work horses.  It looks like the bulk of your three stars are in the 170s.  I'd soft cap your four star heroes at 172.  Hold them there until you have a few that you can champ at the same time.

I was in a similar position when vaulting hit and happen to be hoarding at the time. I opened my hoard and had multiple covers for many of the 12 available at that time. I decided to dump some popular one or two covered 4*s at that time to update my roster. It was clearly the right decision as now two of the new ones are champed and several others have far more covers than those who I would have kept would have. It was a necessary sacrifice to adapt to the change in meta game. Do I like having Riri rostered instead of Cyclops? No, but it's clearly more useful to have a 6 cover Riri than a one or two cover Cyclops with no new ones in sight yet.
