Redwing + fortified tiles = correct behavior?

Is Redwing acting correctly on fortified tiles?

Here's what happens:

- Boom! Fortified tile placed.
- Flap! Flap! Flap! Redwing targets the fortified tile.
- Bam! The effect of the fortified tile is neutralized and turns into a fortified Redwing countdown tile.

There are two things here I don't think seem correct:
1. Redwing should de-fortify the tile.
2. Redwings countdown shouldn't be fortified.

I believe fortification is independent of other effects, and only impacted by actual tile matching.  If the tile was converted by, say, Loki, from your strike to their protect, fortification would hold and you'd be frustrated.  So I think Redwing just changes what the tile is doing (CD, strike, attack, protect) without changing fortification status.  Which is, I believe, intended.

Yeah that's working as intended. Fortified tiles are only protected from being matched or destroyed, not from being stolen or converted.

As what Jaedenkaal has already pointed out, this is intended functionality. Actually, he pretty much explained everything spot-on. While fortified tiles will protect against destruction and matches, it will not protect against enemies stealing or converting your special tiles. Hope this helps.
