Earth's Mightiest MMR

I am unable to find any queues above 19 points, despite running 3 boosted 4s and knowing that friends are climbing around my level (currently over 900pts). Most of my queues are worth 4-9 points. Meanwhile, I get hit by 7-10 people each time I drop my shield.

I thought they fixed the broken MMR for off-season events?

I had 100 points running a 420 Phoenix, 380 Peggy, and 369 Carol only to get attacked by a 453 OML, 450 Thano5, and 467 5trange. I only lost 2 points, but why in the tinykitty would I show up on that guys q when I dont have 1 champ 5, let alone 3!!!!

Earth's Mightiest MMR is definitely broken!!!

I've been using 3 champed 4*s, 2 of them boosted, and my queued teams are pretty much the same, usually worth 20-55 points. Slice 1, in case that makes a difference. No problems with my MMR.

Seeing normal point teams, currently at 686.  But there sure are a lot of teams like mine now....Peggy, Carol, Wasp.  This looks a lot like Simulator.
Vaulting=no variety.  Can you say "over-corrected dilution"?  I knew you could.

Peggy, Carol, Wasp, and Medusa have taken over the pvp scene. If any one or more of them are boosted for an event plan on seeing them, as far as simulator goes plan on seeing them all the time unless your MMR demands you see 5*s. Then its whatever 5/s plus one of those 4

Yeah, I'm using Carol, Wasp and Medusa, and almost every team I see has either Carol, Wasp, Cage, Peggy, or some mix of them.

It's definitely partly down to vaulting (I wouldn't have all those champed without vaulting), but also because they're all boosted (except Medusa). If you boost a bunch of the best PvP characters for one event, they're all going to see a lot of play.

I've seen a fair number of Hulkbusters too, but he's just not that scary when Carol gets rolling.

I fully understand why they are dominant.  The design philosophy went from collect/boost AP to power use, to "now good stuff happens almost automatically".  The point I am making is that they (not exactly at the same time) combined very useful characters with vaulting to make those specific characters much easier to cover and champ.  So, many players have them.  And so team variety drops to almost nothing in the circumstances you correctly lay out.  This seems to be at odds with the designer's wishes for wide character use.  So, nerfs galore to all these faves?

Sorry, this is all OT but my MMR seems OK.

I definitely agree with you, but also pointing out that power creep has hit the 4* tier hard and besides being easier to obtain they are also better.

I truly hope they don't get nerfed but if the devs use their OML logic of 10% of wins include them I feel nerfing is inevitable.....

I've been surprised to see 4Cage all over the place! I rarely saw him before, but I'd say at least half of my battle pins have had him on the team. I even had my trousers thoroughly trounced by a 4Cage who was fully covered but not max-leveled - he can definitely turn into a monster if you are not paying attention.

I just champed my first ever 4-star (Wasp), and boy is that Wasp (5/5/3), 4Carol (3/4/5) and Peggy (5/1/5) team a lot of fun to play. I think I've cackled with delight at ridiculously-sized strike tiles at least once per match. Plus, having the enemy team match a Bzzzz tile and take 11 thousand damage (before strike tiles!) is nearly as much fun as the all-time great, Daredevil's sausage drop.

This MMR was -THE WORST- I've ever experienced.

I don't want to go into it more in case the devs get ideas on how to keep it that way. Suffice to say, if lesser rosters can see WAY, WAY up to where I am, and stronger rosters can see WAY, WAY down when they are higher up....why am I stuck on the same four rosters and can't see very far up or anywhere down? Horrible.
