Event ranking issue

I have an issue with the event ranking system.
After the last refresh I was ranked 37 in my bracket and I could see 4 other players above me with the same score. Based on previous discussions on how event ranking works. My place should only he moved down by those scoring higher than me. Anyone else with the same score would be ranked lower as they completed later. However I am now ranked 51 and there are 7 players above that I can see with the same score. This is not acceptable. If there is now a glitch in the event ranking system for ties that removes the **** to begin with method of first come first serve and instead leaves tie breaking as a chance algorithm than why even bother playing anymore. The events have already been nerfed to near pointlessness as it is. Now I can't even guarantee myself a **** reward by trying to be first to get there.
