How do you remove a commander?

I have a guy in my alliance I promoted to Commander early on. He's since pretty much abandoned the game but I can't remove him to free up space, despite being a commander myself.

How can I go about this? I have no contact with him outside of the game either so he could leave himself.

It's been a while since I've needed to...I can't find the thread that explains how to create a ticket.

How do you contact CS again?

**You can create a ticket by going to https://d3go.com/support/

Alternatively, you should be able to in-game by clicking on the gear icon in the upper left of the game screen then tapping on the Help button.**

Yup, CS team are, I presume, handling it. They needed a screenshot of my alliance and/or a screenshot of the leaderboard as proof of who I was. I've supplied them with that, so now it's just a waiting game =)

IceIX wasn't a mod, lol. He was a D3 Go! producer, so he had access so stuff like that. I most definitely do not.

FYI, last time this happened to me, CS will not (or can't) remove the founding commander. So we had to coordinate a migration.

I'm the founding member, so we had no problem with that.

CS cannot and will not kick *any* member of an alliance for you. The only thing they can do is demote a non-founding member (I assume that's because the founder was never a "member" they were always a "commander" from the word go, so you're unable to demote them to a position they never held).

They helpfully did just that for me, the member in question was demoted from commander to a regular member and I found they hadn't played in over 2 months.

Very quickly resolved. Would have been quicker had I noticed their request for screenshots was in the form of attachments and not links. My mistake =P

Interesting - my alliance is in a similar position with 2 out of the 3 commanders AWOL and I doubt the third would bother contacting CS
