New Boss Event!  Face off against Thanos!  Work together with the Guardians!  Can you down the Thanos-copter?

  • Featured: Ant Man (Scott Lang), Storm (Mohawk), Captain Marvel (Ms. Marvel)
  • New Character: Star-Lord (Awesome Mix Volume 2), Cloak & Dagger (Classic), Star-Lord (Peter Quill)
  • Event:
    • 5-Star - Hawkeye (Clint Barton), Spider-Man (Back in Black), Wolverine (Old Man Logan)
    • 4-Star - Ant-Man (Scott Lang), Drax (The Destroyer), Star-Lord (Legendary Outlaw), Wolverine (X-Force)
    • 3-Star - Gamora (Guardians of the Galaxy), Rocket & Groot (Most Wanted), Spider-Man (Classic), Wolverine (Patch),
    • 2-Star - Hawkeye (Modern), Spider-Man (Bag-Man), Wolverine (Astonishing X-Men)
    • 1-Star - Hawkeye (Classic), Hawkeye (Original)

Thanos (Infinity Saga)

  • Doesn’t make matches
  • Infinity Gauntlet
    • Black Passive
    • If there isn't already one on the board, create a 2-turn Gauntlet tile that charges and destroys the entire row, dealing massive damage and gaining triple AP.
    • The Gauntlet tile can't be matched and won't fall
  • Infinite Power
    • 8 Purple AP
    • Creates a Purple Countdown tile.
    • While this tile is on the board, Thanos (Infinity Saga) deals 15% extra damage and no tiles may be destroyed or changed except by Thanos (Infinity Saga) (tiles may still be matched away)
  • Infinity Gems
    • Green Passive
    • Thanos cannot be Stunned
    • At the beginning of the battle, place one of each Infinity Gem on the board. Destroying the Gem gives you the following effect:
      • Time Gem: Creates a random duplicate non-Purple Infinity Gem
      • Mind Gem: Generate 30 AP of a random color
      • Reality Gem: Give a burst of healing to your entire team, restoring them to full health.
      • Power Gem: Deal a massive amount of damage to Thanos (a little more than third of his max health).
      • Space Gem: Create 2 Critical tiles
      • Soul Gem: Destroy all Green tiles, dealing damage but not generating AP

    Kinda disappointed in antman being the 4 star reward for this one. I'm glad for those that want his covers, but was hoping that a more powerful vaulted or theme appropiate character would have been the reward...Drax in my case as I only have 4 covers for him.

    It's a Boss event so we probably won't even get Ant-Man as a reward

    Demiurge popped into the Discord chat and said that Nova would be the 4 star alliance reward covers for this boss event.  I think Antman is just a boosted character.

    Yep, spoke too soon, but happy about nova being the progression choice.

    I hope the progression reward order is red, black, yellow. But knowing my luck it will probably be yellow, black, red.

    EDIT: Order is black, yellow, red. Well, at least black is first. I'm a commander of an open alliance, so except for me and a few others it's pretty casual. We could probably get the black cover, maaaaaybe the yellow, but the red is probably out of the question.

    I'm very tempted to merc out for this event. My 1/4/1 Nova needs all the help be can get. He was 0/4/1 until I bought that red cover in the Heroes for Hire store. But I kinda feel like it's a jerk move to ditch an alliance I've been made a commander of.

    On discord it was said,

    Meaning I think the cover order for the 3starlord and nova.

    Any tips for gaining as many personal rewards for this event? Or is it simply a case of "Beat Thanos, beat node, Beat Thanos, etc & then wait 8 hours"? 

    I'm at just under 50k points after reaching the first lockout, and 900,000 sounds a long way off unless I'm missing something?
