It took like 30 minutes, but with a 2 cover level 74 ProfX I just defeated Elektra in the DDQ Crash of the Titans. I boosted the purple and blue as they are the only covers I have and stocked up on purple so I could turn invisible with just one match and I was able to stay that way the whole match.

Yeah, all you really need is one purple cover and this one is a breeze.

Short answer: you need more luck than you used to, but if you get lucky with your invisibility tile placement, it's still completely doable. It just takes a while (and longer now that her BoD steals purple than it used to take).

I have no idea how her skills work but I tried to rotate my tile matches until I saw one that caused damage and worked like mad to repeat it when I could.  And I also stocked up on purples as much as I could so that when she matched it I was able to put it back on quickly.  My only fear was that with the strike tiles being purple there wouldn't be one available when I needed it, fortunately that never happened.

My x is 4/5/4 @215, took awhile but beat her easily. Shadow step is extremely annoying now that she has ap steal. Seemed like everytime I would get rid of them I would damage her for one turn and bam shadow step, 5 traps again!!! That was the most frustrating thing..... Luckily my invisibility tiles stayed the whole match....

I've done it back when my Prof X was 70 as well.  Now it's 150 due to other events that I needed to level him for.

The Crash with Howard vs. 4* Punisher is just simple, except some people didn't deny green for some reason.

I was able to eventually beat her with my champed Prof X, but I went through the following twice:
a. Go invisible
b. Don't do any damage while she throws Shadow Step/Ballet of Death. 
c. Have her throw Double-Double-Cross, I boost the strikes, She throws it again.
d. She matches my Invisibility tile and between all of the above, instant death, perhaps even if you have enough Purple to throw invisibility again.

With her revamp, I think there are 3 options - Get a lucky board to strike fast, get lucky with a large cascade that blows all of her shadow steps, or don't deny Black/Red. She's going to steal them anyway, so the goal is to limit the number of turns you can't do damage while invisible. I beat her with the large cascade, but next time I'm going to not try to deny her colors and see how it goes...

Indeed... This time around Elektra was a beast to defeat. There was no choice but to try and deny her black and red, and used boosts to amp up the damage on those colors. Other then that, it was a game of protect the invisibility tile, AP denial, and strike tile buff retention, and a prayer to RNGesus for 5 tile match alignment "Forehead of Doom."

3 1 1 prof x and i can't beat her.. probably tried 5 times. i swear they program her to match all the pink and black tiles.
