Lost in 4* Land

So I've been playing the game for nearly 3 years at this point (off and on) and I have a solid roster of 3*s. I'm trying to get to 4* land and have no idea what the best track is to get there. I'm just kinda leveling every 4* to max I can with iso and favoriting the 2 that I want champed first. Other than that though, I have no idea how to go about this. I don't really have the time or $ to rank top 5 every PVP event so it's really only over PVE and even than I don't always have the required characters to get the reward I want. Any tips?

Play to progress in pve and 575 in pvp. Spend tokens, rinse and repreat.

I'm at 20 champed 4s and never place in the top 20 for either mode.

Save your ISO.  Don't spread it around on all your 4*s - focus it on the ones that matter.  It will disappear in the blink of an eye.

There are 2 good reasons to spend ISO on a 4*:
1 - to level them up enough to win their crash event
    2 - to champ them.

There are a couple of exceptions to the above rule - Carol, Peggy and maybe Medusa would be worth leveling before they are fully covered. They're just that good. Use your 3*s until you're ready to champ a 4* or two. Hopefully you haven't yet leveled your 4*s to the point that it's affected your scaling.

Join PVE events late. Like, skip the entire first sub late. Use Line to help with this.  If you do it right, you'll be in a bracket that never reaches 1000 people, which means t50 (for the HP reward)  in each sub is much easier. It also means t10 for the entire event is actually achievable, as long as you have the essentials. Be prepared to do 7 total clears for a t10 finish if you can't do optimal clear timing, though.

Hit 575 in PVP events to get your CP and then bail. You'll get crushed past 600, so try for 650/725 if you can, but don't burn health packs on it. Hitting 800 is nice, but it's only a 3* cover - there are easier ways to earn one. And if you hit 900 with a 3* roster, definitely tell me how you did it!

Focus your bonus heroes. Pick one and stick with them. Check to see who is leaving tokens and when. If you can't realistically champ them by then, cut bait and focus on someone you can. Having two bonus heroes halves the covers you receive for each, and increases the time it'll take to get them fully covered.

Hoard. Yeah, probably a good idea. Save those CP and LTs until you have a decent shot at getting enough latest 12 covers (and you have enough of them rostered, or a bunch of extra HP) to champ someone. I cashed mine in at 800ish + 37 LTs, so about 80 pulls, and it worked well. That's about 6-7  covers each on average, once you factor in the 5*s you'll get too.

YMMV, of course, but this is what has been working for me so far...

    Good luck!
