Should I sell my 5* Hawkeye?

I just recently started playing again on a new account and have been doing pretty well until I ended up pulling a 5* Hawkeye Blue with a Bonus 5* Hawkeye Blue.

So now I'm sitting here with a Lv255 Hawkeye with 2 Blue covers while my next highest characters are two 4* at 70

Would it be better for me in the long run to sell this Hawkeye now since I'm not even into a maxed 2* yet?

probably.  but this should be a big heads up for you.  Don't open Classics or Legendary tokens until you at least have 3* champions

Personally speaking I would not. 5* acquisition is tough and although those 2 covers may make your scaling tougher power through it as in the long run those 5's will be beneifical.

    Also...stop opening tokens lol

I thought they had addressed the issue of tinykittied-up scaling for single 5* rosters?

I made the same mistake early on. It's painful to give up a 5*, and you'll feel it later, when you realize how hard they are to come by. Your pve experience will be severely hampered by the scaling you get from having a 5* on your roster. I was shocked by how much easier it gets without it.

I have an account that's about a month old that's comprised of mostly undercovered/underleveled 2 star characters. I rostered a Green Goblin, then leveled him to 270, and I have no scaling problems.

    Never sell 5 stars.

The trouble with "power through" is, how long will he have to "power through"? Half a year? It's a long road from 2* not yet lvl 70 to champed 3*s and starting to consider 5*s

If they did, it was recent and I missed it.

Welcome to getting punished for playing the game.

Players should not open Legendary token until they get close to completing 3*.  I'm sure others say it can start earlier, but the idea is to save up Legendary tokens until one is ready for the jump.

Yeah I don't want to struggle for the next few months after only playing 8 days. But I'm doing pretty well so far.

For 2* in 8 days playtime I have 7 obw, 8 Thor, and 9 Storm covers which is pretty decent for the amount of time.

I have also got decently lucky with my 3 stars. 3 Strange all different colors, 4 IF, 2 Cyclops, and 1 IM 40. All apperently pretty good characters.

Never sell 5*'s! I've never run into scaling problems. When (not if) it does change, just deal with it. You'll regret it when you have an 11 cover Hawkeye if you sell him now.

I'll be honest, I had a Green Phoenix early on and while it may or may not have affected my scaling (I was too raw to really know) it certainly saved my butt more times than I can remember.
