I need some advice on my roster.

Hello, anyone and everyone taking the time to read this. I have been playing on and off for more than a year, (currently at resupply day 333) never really concerned with getting any further in the game and developing my roster. I'm currently at a bit of a roadblock. As you can tell from my roster, I have 4*s that are unusable and I haven't developed a collection of 3*s yet. I have been getting the 3*s from DDQ when I can and I just hit S.H.I.E.L.D. rank 27, so I should be able to get them from story events too. I know I'll need to scale down a little and sell some of the 4*s (it hurts the collector in me ), but I don't know where to start. Any input would be much appreciated.
I also have 3* Kamala Khan and Black Panther dying right now. I don't know if I should roster them or not.

i would try to roster as many characters instead of selling. Having all of the characters to do the ddq and pve will go a long way in developing your roster.0

I assume you aren't interested in spending $$$ to getting HP (and thus getting more slots, which would immediately solve your problem).
Assuming that's the case, I have a few suggestions:
a. If you're opening Legendary tokens or spending CP, then stop for now. 4* are nice, but you can't really use them; to beat the daily Behemoth Burrito, you need both 4* characters and reasonable 3*, so focus on the reasonable 3* for now. Also stop putting ISO into 4*; for the next several months you'll need it for 3*
b. I notice you don't have a 1* rostered. It's up to you, but the 500HP/day you get from DDQ will more than pay for getting a 1* like IM or Jugs to a reasonable level pretty quickly.
c. Likewise, you'll eventually want to roster all of the 2* although that's not today's problem. When you get to the point you can win the burrito, you'll need to do this.
d. You need to roster KK and Panther. They are both top-tier 3*, and you'll use KK for a long time even as you start the 4* transition. That means you need to find 2 slots. You could just go by the guides and drop the lowest-level characters, or drop ones you don't care about.
e. That said, I suggest dropping 2 of the archived 4* since covers will be hard to come by. I would choose Winter Soldier and Moon Knight, but honestly you are unlikely to fully cover any of them (even the heavy hitters). It only hurts a little while to sell them
Hope that helps

I was kinda-sorta where you were three or four months ago (less total time played, but the same sort of patchwork roster), and the single thing that jump-started my roster toward the next level was to treat the 2s as a revenue stream. Yes, it meant throwing away a few 4s to get re-calibrated, but it was the smartest thing I did long-term.
First, they level pretty fast because you get more covers for them. You might hit hot and cold spells here and there, but overall, you can get a new cover for a 2 every couple days, if not more often.
Second, they'll give you some 3* covers, tokens, and HPs as they climb. That's going to get you a stronger team of 3s and help your roster expand quite a bit. Obviously the quality of the 3s you're feeding varies -- 2Mags->3Mags, good; Ares->Ragnarok, not so much -- but there are some worthwhile 3s in that collection.
Finally, when they get to 144, you can sell them for 65k ISO and 125 HPs and start the process all over again. (Just make sure you leave something in reserve for the DDQ and don't send all of them out at the same time.) Also, refreshing a 2 is a way to play musical chairs and open up a roster spot for a 3 or 4 that's about to expire and then replace the easier-to-find 2 later. I just did this, selling OBW to open a spot for 2 purple Miles covers... and I've already got 3 OBW covers ready for the next time I have money for a roster spot.
Get 2s. Grind them out. Lather, rinse, repeat. A lot of the rest will take care of itself.4 -
Thanks for commenting, guys. I got rid of Moon Knight and Winter Soldier and replaced them with Kamala Khan and Black Panther. I have enough HP for another slot. I'm thinking of maybe using it for OBW or Daken, but I don't know.
I had a maxed 1* IM at one point, but I sold him (likely for a slot for a 4*), because I didn't think I needed that ISO when I already had 500k. I've heard that champing gets pretty expensive though so maybe I'll get him back at some point.
Something i I didn't mention is that I'm not in an alliance, so I'm missing out on those rewards. I should probably change that, huh?
You guys have definitely given me some goals to reach for and for that I am grateful. Thanks again.0 -
Yes, definitely find an alliance, that's a source of at least 2000 ISO per day along with other goodies at the end of each event.
OBW is solid offensively though a little fragile on defense, I have a hard time finding a good use for Daken.
What ever you do, hold on to your iso. When I was in two star land, I was making iso left and right. I had like 200K iso and was spending it on standard tokens for the fun of it. I got up to the point that I had 12 covers for seven or eight different three stars. I finally got my 13th cover on Torch and I spent 35K to get him up there, then I got another thirteenth cover and burned through another 35K real quick, then the lower covered 3 stars needed some iso . . . basically, I went to having way too much ISO to being in a deficit within the space of like three days. Save your ISO, earn all of the ISO that you can and treat it preciously (but totally reroster Juggernaut so that you can get the 500 ISO per day from that node).1 -
Glad to help.
I don't feel that strongly about the 1*. At the start of DDQ, you needed to do the one star node just to be able to do Under The Sea and Third Time's a Charm, since they removed that requirement, it's just 500 ISO/day. I'm just in the habit of starting my day with Jugs every morning.
You absolutely need to be in an alliance. 2000 ISO/day plus some amount of alliance awards in every node is good... My alliance is far from the most serious in the world, but I get ISO and usually 3 elite tokens every day, which in your position would add up fast.
You can either simply join a public alliance, or make a post in the alliance forum. In either event, make sure you join one where everybody plays about every day, and don't feel bad about dropping if that's not the case.

I think Instead of OBW or Daken, I'll get Magneto. He'll have blue and purple moves for my 2* team and eventually give covers for my 3* mags.
As as far as an alliance goes, I have joined quite a few open ones in the past and the members welcome me in and all seems well until I look an hour or so later and I've been kicked. I can only assume it's due to my roster not meeting their requirements.
I'll definitely be making a post in the alliance thread later today. Hopefully I'll find a good one that I can grow in.
I can't thank you guys enough for taking the time to reply.0 -
I know it's a couple of days late, but I should mention a couple of things here.
For DDQ - doing the 1* node isn't just about the 500 ISO you get for that node. There are also progression rewards for completing the various DDQ nodes, and there is a 2000 ISO reward for completing everything before Behemoth Burrito. If you skip the 1* node, you don't get that. 2500 ISO a day is worth giving a roster slot to Juggernaut.
As far as roster choices go, 2* Mags is a good choice. But OBW is an absolutely vital character to have in your roster. Cover her at 3/5/5 so that her AP steal doesn't take too many AP to fire, and she will literally steal you matches that you have no business winning. Her blue will also give you a few extra turns to deal with countdown tiles as well as healing your team, and that makes goon nodes waaay more manageable until you have better ways to deal with them.
You can't beat that. Get OBW.
Good luck!2
