Power suggestions to decrease gap between tiers

OK So with Cloak black ability we have a unique power which levels the playing field (a little) between 4 and 5*. It got me thinking that you could create a few more abilities like this which can bridge the gap between tiers.

This would also have the side benefit of meaning MMR would be less of an issue. Here's a couple more suggestions for abilities which don't currently exist but which would benefit the game.


Level Down : For x amount of AP a CD tile is placed which temporarily returns a selected character to his/her base level (at max covers). For example fire against a champed Phoenix and she returns to 255 for x turns.

Passive Denial : When active power is fired, a passive component disables all passives for x turns. I had to pair this with an active component as it would be too complex and OP if it were a constant passive itself

Power Steal : When fired enables the player team to use a selected AI power (at AI power level) for x amount of turns. I'm actually surprised Mystique doesn't have this already

Disable : For x amount of AP disable an opponent power for x turns (at max covers it disables for entire match)

Absorb : When damage is taken over certain threshold it increases the level of your character (in match only) so for example a level 250 character when damaged over x amount increases to level 260 etc. This power is tailor made for hulk or the currently absent absorbing man.

Self Destruct: When x amount of damage is sustained a CD tile is created which upon resolving downs both your character and the currently selected AI character.

Resurrection : for x amount of AP revive a dead character with x amount of health. This currently exists as a passive for phoenix to revive herself but could be a good strategic power for an active character to revive a dead one.
