Hixus and Clausterphobia functionality is rage-inducing

How does it make sense for the opponent to cast one card and completely disable you, leaving it up to chance whether you recover. I can't count how many times I'm about to kill an opponent, at full health, and they cast Hixus or any other disabling support, and it gets placed on a lonely gem that can never be accessed.
Some colors don't even have support destruction, and the ones that do, they suck! They destroy a random support (again, chance) Green has one that destroys all supports, but it's once again, all chance if you pull it or not. Put these overpowered supports on a timer, similar to Clues work, so you aren't completely screwed because the opponent paid 11 mana, and basically wins the game slowly from 12 hp when you were at 102.
P.S. Why is Hixus NOT a creature?!

Every color has access to support destruction due to Mockery of Nature, though in reality it's been relegated to certain colors, because that's how it operates is paper magic. Also, white has two options that destroy all supports, since you mentioned green can do it.
To thag end, however, I've requested in the past that support destruction should be targeted. I should be able to go after important supports like Hixus or Starfield rather than have the game choose some gem conversion support for me.1 -
Hixus is indeed an interesting card - I have it (although I am not buying cards) - but it seems to have a Tag = "destroy it in the next 2 rounds" attached to it. It is destroyed in 99% in the next 1 to 2 rounds. You can keep it until no white gem is on the board and then play it - it does not matter. And in the case of the 1% it is reversed - it will never be destroyed; even if you try that yourself (just for testing the randomness of the game engine )
Does not really feel random to me ...0 -
Hixus is literally the reason I pack support destruction into just about every deck I run. Red has a ton of options, and green has several, white has four, including anguished unmaking which is a staple in my black decks. Blue is the only color that needs to rely on mockery, and is the color least likely to be tripped up by support lockdowns in the first place.0
