Best teams for 3* and 4*?

Hi, I'm a 70-day player still in 2*. I've been hoarding tokens to get ready for the transitions, and will use all tokens except for Tacos and LTs.

I have come up with some teams that I think are the strongest, for PVP (Offence), PVP (Defence), and PVE. These are based on the understanding that in PVP, the team with higher total number of *s will be the defence team, and my mindset that higher HP defensive teams will discourage attacks on me. However, I am not sure if my 4* PVE team will be stronger than my 3* PVE team.

I'm looking for possible teams that are better than the ones I came up with. Do correct if I'm wrong about something.

3* PVP Offence - IM40, Cap. America. +Kamala Khan (Ms.Marvel) for Simulation PVP
3* PVP Defence - Thanos, Hulk. +Rocket and Groot for Simulation PVP
3* PVE - Dr. Strange, Thanos. +Patch for non-Essentials

4* PVP Offence - IM40, Thor. +Red Hulk for Simulation PVP <-- should I replace Thor with Cyclops?
4* PVP Defence - Red Hulk, Peggy Carter. +Hulkbuster for Simulation PVP
4* PVE - Star-Lord, Captain Marvel (Carol Danvers). +Agent Coulson for non-Essentials

    Thanos and hulk aren't really any kind of deterrence in pvp. They have high hp but they don't really do anything. Basically it will all come down to who is boosted. IM40 and kk are still decent defensively.  It as good as offence but no one is. 

    For four star peggy trumps anyone else for red/blue users. Offense or defense she saves you from being hit by enemy powers.

    Not sure what you roster is looking like, but we offer a change in your 3*PVP Defense team. You need to swap out Hulk. Teams will just target him and stun. 3* Mags is a better more annoying alternative completing your rainbow with the CPU smartly utilizing his Coercive Field defensively while his other abilities do high single target damage. If you really want to be annoying defensively, you could use She-Hulk as well. She brings high HP like Hulk, and the CPU annoyingly uses her Furious Charge on the cheap with RED AOE and slight shake-up. The downside is it can could take away from R&Gs effectiveness with Blue, but honestly they are just there to annoy with true heal. 

    When you hit 4* you will see far more options....but Peggy is always a nice PVP addition
