attacked more than you can win

So playing the last 5 events that were pvp (not including lightning rounds) I have it set to where my phone tells me when im attacked while playkng on my tablet and ive noticed that within EVERY 10 minute period I was attacked 4-5 times and at least 3 of those being a loss. My average match right now being in the 2* stage is anywhere from 8-10 minutes. When I gain 20-30 points and lose 40-50 each time theres no way thats right. My suggestion is a temporary imunity. Once you are attacked and lose a defense your taken off the board of people to attack for 10-15 minutes.this way people can actually enjoy pvp instead of get frustrated.

  • Agreed. I would also say that if you are currently fighting in PVP, that you should be exempt from being attacked.

That has happened to me several time. I'll win 30 points in a round, but when I check my points afterwards, I'm 10 less then when I started. It's gotten to the point that I usually just play 1 winning round so I'll get the tiny little 140 ISO bonus, and then move on to other things. icon_rolleyes.gif
  • That's clash of clan style.....don't think that work in this game where you play till you're finally dead and all health packs spent

You would have sooooo many people in the 1000s

I don't even need it to be when I'm off. Just after we get attacked make it so you can't be attacked for like 10-15 minutes. Would make it so you still have to work for it but not a losing battle the whole way
  • Similar sentiment...

I was trying to get the 600 point OBW in Hot Shot. As I was getting close, all of a sudden the caliber of fights was way higher. I would also start getting attacked much more as I was apparently weaker prey up here. That's all part of the game, but I needed 21 points to hit 600, found a 21 point fight I had a chance with, barely win, see my points go to 600... then find out I lost 47 while I was fighting and even though I saw 600, I didn't really hit 600. So no cover.

Apparently I'm just not going to be allowed to get there as when I get close I'll get smashed back down. Very frustrating and disappointing.

I disagree. I think it's fine the way it is, and it's more or less growing pains of the game.

I'm just now transitioning to a 3* roster. What I've noticed is the better my roster gets, the higher points totals I can get before getting relentlessly attacked. At this point 900 pts is about where I can get too. Just a few weeks ago, it was tough for me to break 800. My son has a nearly maxed 1* team, he can only reach about 400. PVE is already a math game that any somewhat competitive roster can win at if they're smart. I'd like to see PVP stay where it is, and rewarding the players who put the time into building up a roster with better prizes.

The game would have to distinguish between people who are actually playing, and people who've just entered a match and have left it idle. Imagine that - free unlimited shielding!
  • It would be nice if, when defending, your team were made invisible for a brief period to diminish the amount of dog-piling that happens to you while you're winning 20 points. It would have to be brief (maybe 10 minutes) to prevent colluding players from entering into matches to create free shields, and it would have to be triggered on the back-end only, otherwise players who attack quickly and repeatedly would be effectively invulnerable while pushing.

But there's nothing worse than losing 80 points in retaliations while you're out busting your hump to earn 20.
  • lol. Well PVP is strange because sometimes you can earn big points, sometimes a small amount... Sometimes I lose 1-9 points, sometimes 30-40... But all in all it doesn't matter if you're smart... I finish top 20 in all events pretty much and my only problem is when you win one, you could lose 2, you could gain 22 points, but lose 44... The problem is, you're pinned against people who are potentially better than you, you teams highest consists of an 80, but fighting against teams of 100+... The being beaten while trying to win isn't the problem, it's getting beat by these big guys which you can't defend against, that's what needs fixing, if the fights were even, you wouldn't constantly see teams of, Black Widow 2*, Thor, Wolverine 2* and/or Spider-man max blue... I like some other characters but they are useless, Daken, Captain America, Iron Man, Loki and the list goes on, are all pointless covers to own because of AP requirements, lack of abilities or 1* or 2*.

If you can't keep up with the win/loss record, your not playing smart... The skip button is there for a reason... The shield button is also there for a reason.

In all my time of playing PVP and reaching top 20 almost every time... I've not, ever, once fought someone within the top 20 with me and for these guys to hit the 1000 point mark, without coming across me, something is obviously not adding up lol, in a past event I finished 11th and I must've fought for about 4 hours total, considering each fight should be about 5-10 mins each, you're looking at 24-40 fights in total... Smart people win events... Money spenders win events... Rushers and hope-ers fail... It's just a matter of which one are you?!
  • It is interesting that you can only be fighting one person at a time, but it is possible for many people to be attacking you simultaneously.

I don't want immunity while I am playing. That seem silly, I want all those trying to beat me up to form a nice orderly line and go one at a time.

So only on the defense side, when someone tries to fight you they are given a short message that says "so and so is already under attack"
After that match is done or 10 minutes) that person can take their swing as normal.

The server lags, although not that noticeable during the game, would make that pretty hard to do, and it would cause problems for players who have lined up attacks and need to play fast between shields. It is frustrating, no doubt. We've all been there when we take the big hit, but usually you can recover fairly quickly. You will get more experienced about which teams do better for defense (or deter attacks), and also will learn that if you are going to be a juicy target at high levels, you probably need to shield. Then you can figure out the approximate number of battles you can fight before other people can line you up and defeat you. I usually do three or four between shields when I'm at very high levels. In Hotshot, as I rose from 1200 to 1400, I did not lose a single point because I was already re-shielded before I suffered any losses.

The other thing you learn is that multiple attacks in short succession can be a good thing if the people attacking have more points than you. Then you have higher-value retaliations lined up in your queue, which can be invaluable at high-levels and save you on the skip-tax.
  • I think you should not loose so many points for a defensive loss, and get more points for a defensive win.

This is because the computer AI is not very good, and the attacking team can use boosts. This would especially help those who are new, and running 1 and 2 star teams.
  • Thanks reckless442 icon_e_wink.gif

I can only change my team so slowly, and only spend the HP I have. I know many of the strategies on how to perform better and use the ones I have control over.

This was just a suggestion on the topic MajinDavid started, trying to continue the conversation, will it ever be implemented...well no, but I find these things fun to contemplate ways things could be different
