Question about training

Is there a guide that explains how many points in a power = how much you can level a character? For instance if you push a character from power rank 3-4 you get X levels you can level up vs if you take a power from rank 0-1 you can level up y levels. Always been curious what the formula for this is but not sure how to search for such a thing.
