Cards to change for the better

We've had plenty of threads talking about overpowered cards like Baral. Let's switch to the opposite end of the spectrum. Which cards are in need of improvement to make them playable? Compare cards against cards with similar rarities.

A key example is Kari Zev's Expertise. d3, I have now played this card enough times to master it. Not once did I cast it. Seriously, is there any reason it can't target any creature?

I think it's better to go through the cards that need a balancing because they're too strong.
This will automatically make other cards playable (take them off the shelf as someone said).

But, you are right. Kari Zev's Expertise is really one of the bad cards in this game and it should have a re-design.

Will be the same problem with other expertise cards - you'll need to have a card in hand that can be filed with the second effect. Totally useless

I don't think the others are useless. Each half at least does something. The first half of Kari's is absolutely useless 95% of the time.

My problem with them is : you need the right circumstances to play them. You need a target, and you need a card on your hand that has the right mana costs. They would be way more useful, if they could be triggered without needing the second card to fill up

I made a thread on this very subject some time ago.
