Bug or working as intended?

Thanos Court Death does not trigger when opponent "commits suicide"? i.e. Aries Sunder.

Is this a bug (looked through the bugs thread and saw nothing) or is it working as intended? I didn't want to post this in the bugs thread if so.

    Yeah, the power is working as intended. The unique passive trigger on this ability will only apply to characters downed by your own sources of damage, rather than from the enemy. Enemy powers that damage or down themselves, such as The Hand's Konran Minion's Black Arts (Black) ability or Brotherhood's Subject Minion's Detonate (Black) ability.

    On an additional note, self damaging abilities like Thanos (Modern)'s Court Death (Black) passive will not trigger your own team's passive abilities, such as Storm (Classic)'s Raging Tempest (Yellow) ability or Captain Marvel (Modern)'s Energy Absorption (Yellow) ability.
