Crash of the Titans Cycle 5: Winter Soldier

I won the last run of this crash with a 1/2/5 (level 172) Bucky. Since then I got a nice amount of covers for him bringing him to 4/4/5 (level 200). If I hadn´t have so much other 4* covers in my queue, I would have championed Bucky long ago.

This will be my first time with this particular Crash as the last one was during my forced break from the game. Quite exciting. Bucky is champed, so it shouldn't be too difficult.

1/2/3, level 131 last time was successful after 11 tries and entirely too many boosts.

Still 131, but 5/2/5 this time after getting the level 223 cover from Cap this morning.

His red has some serious teeth now, so we'll see if I need to level him at all.

Hopefully between his purple and red both being at 5 covers now, I won't need to boost to get through.

    Level 94 4/3/1.

Not ideal but with the new 5 days Crash I have time to level him up (172 is the cap). My concern is the cover configuration.

    Mine's at 3/1/0. I don't fancy my chances.

My Bucky did it on first attempt! Even though BP was able to create his strike tiles early, I managed to get enough blue & red AP to use my blue & red in one turn. Luckily BP didn´t match my CD tiles away so they resolved and downed him.

    Does 3 2 1 level 131 stand a chance?

Leveled him up to 143 and boosted 60% Match Damage, 50% P/B damage, and +2 B/P ap.

Here I focused on Blue, matching purple and red occasionally while also trying to deny him black. I got Detonator off fairly early with 3 traps on the board which nailed him for 3k+ damage. Got off red and luckily it landed in a spot I could match it! Fired off purple to gain more Red and fired it again. This time it landed near a corner where I couldn't match it (but neither could he mwahaha). I just focused on wearing him down until the CD went off, hoping it did enough damage to kill him. And it did!

    She's 5/2/5 now.

Wouldn't hurt to try. What's the worst that could happen?

As I suspected my champion Bucky made short work of Black Panther. Another token for the hoard...

4/3/5, level 140 got there on the 4th try. I used +2 B/P AP and +50% B/P match damage. It took a redflag.png power to win. I opened the Legendary and got a Jessica Drew (whom I have champed).

I just put my 1/3/5 Bucky up to level 130 (with a boost) and it wasn't much challenge for me.

That red would seem to be the difference maker though. Still, try it icon_e_smile.gif

Oh, goody. We're doing THAT again.

First try: my red was ready to match off for a match-4 that might have downed him, but he dropped his yellow and then match-3 cascaded into a match-5. Good night, sweet Bucky.

Second try: his blue countdown was placed in an unmatchable location, and went off RIGHT before I could match off my countdown, so instead of killing him, he had 600 health left and a protect tile to prevent me from finishing him off while he casually dropped yellow and cascaded me to death.

Third try: He cascaded into 15 black AP by the third turn. Left me with 1k health and zero red on the board until I was down to 100 health, so even though I had plenty of purple to keep his black/yellow down AFTER he'd Raged, it was irrelevant.

Fourth try: Got my red off and had my blue countdown out, right after he dropped yellow. Got him down to 1k health. Literally his VERY NEXT TURN: cascade from hell. Good night, sweet Bucky.

I swear, nobody else in the Crash cycle pulls cascades out of their neither regions quite as frequently as Panther does. It's infuriating.

My 1/2/0 Bucky doesn't stand a chance. I'll just wait 5 days for the next one.

Fifth try: used red/yellow AP +2, all AP +2, blue/purple match damage +50%.

And, of course, this time there were no crazy cascades, so those boosts weren't even needed.

Got it done, though. Token yielded icon_agentcoulson_tiny.pngpurpleflag.png .

I think that's the death knell for my chances of covering Peggy before she leaves tokens. icon_e_sad.gif

Cycle 4: Won on my 10th try with a level 111 2/2/2 Bucky.

This time: Now 3/5/5 but still 111, this wasn't a pushover, but won on my first try.

It was supposed to be a practice run, so I went for broke with red and hit BP for 7k just as he fired off his yellow attack tiles. Then it was a race to the finish line: I was able to use purple to steal blue and put down one bomb for 2K that finished him off as I was down to my last turn or two.

Reward: icon_caroldanvers.png champ level, now 277.

Did it with a 1-2-1 level 94 Buckey. +2 R/Y, +2 B/P, +2 all colors. It took me 11 tries. Basically had to get him to match my blue trap tiles but once I did, it became a game of denying both yellow and black. It's possible but it was difficult.

Trying to do this with my 4/0/1 lvl 131, and it's not happening. No blue trap damage and low red damage is a struggle. I'm lucky to fire a single red before I'm dead.

    I don't think I'm managing this one.

3/0/2 lvl 127, no boosts, about 6 tries. Have to deny black/yellow as either skill getting off is a failure. Thankfully had a yellow light board, zapped his black twice after he had gotten enough to fire off the skill. Third time, couldn't zap, but a red countdown thankfully was placed in a matchable location FTW. Hopefully I'll get a cover or two before next time.

Second try with my level 168 2/4/2 Winter Soldier. On the first try I managed to get him down to 480 before he knocked me out with a rage attack.
On the second try I lucked out, and he ended up matching two of the blue traps. That added over 1,400 a turn, and it didn't take long to bring him down after that.
I used +2 all AP boost and +60% match damage boost.

The token yielded the first purple I've seen in a long time. Thanos_Icon.pngpurpleflag.png ! I'm not going to complain about that.

Second attempt, lvl 147 WS, no boosts and won. Won also last time this when WS was specced exactly same... I have no redtile.png covers at all for him, but 5 in bluetile.png did the trick nicely when BP triggered my trap and he start eating 750 dmg / turn. BP did just once his yellowtile.png but i managed to match two of the strike tiles. Token got me GwenpoolIcon.PNG
