Beat the Hulk!

I'm sick of reading complaints about vaulting and tokens (no offense, I get it) so I'm gonna talk about something else. The last node in the Hulk event is one of my favorite fights in all of Marvel Puzzle quest, because it's a unique fight of 3-on-1 with no Galactus/Ultron/Keckleon-whatever shenanigans.

Who are you using to beat the Hulk?

My go-to team so far is:
3Cap
IM40
Kate Bishop

Recharge
stun
Cap & Kate POUR ON THE DAMAGE
Recharge
stun
Cap & Kate POUR ON THE DAMAGE
Cap recycles AP
stun
Cap & Kate POUR ON THE DAMAGE
Cap recycles AP
stun
POUR ON THE DAMAGE
etc...etc...

    I use Charlie's Angels.

It can be a slow fight but pretty easy if you can keep the purple AP flow going.

If not, Hulk can get very angry. 7 or 8 Black countdown tiles going off at once can be killer.

I used champed and boosted Ant-man with champed and boosted Gamora and un-leveled but max-covered Iceman. Bobby hid in the back while I collected blue AP. Then when I had enough I would snowman Hulk and fire off all the powers. After a couple of Antman strikes got out things were over quick with not a spot of Anger hitting the board.

That Iceman stun is crazy good and crazy cheap.

That's the way to go. I was using Hulkbuster (apt, no?) at first, but once Hulk started having 75,000 health I had to switch to a stun team. After a couple of Recharges Cap can keep him perpetually stunned with just a few blue matches sprinkled in. Cap's red and Kate's black & purple do the rest. Cap is a nice buddy for Kate because he can override her self-damaging black countdown tile.

Switch/Cap/IM40 works well. Two stunners, and IM charges them both, so Hulk is napping for pretty much the whole fight.

Just don't bring anyone with strike tiles right now. The countdown bug will definitely make Hulk angry (and you won't like him when he's angry...)

    Peggy, IM40, Thoress.

Poor dude doesn't get a chance to do anything before he's stunned and taking Smites to the face for 20K+ damage.

Previously, I've used Lazy Cap & IM40 with various thirds (Loki first, then Hood, and most recently OML (5* scaling)). This time, OML (again, for tanking only), Thoress, and IM40. Gotten close to 60k per shot with Thoress this time around; way faster than Lazy Cap.

Not much of a fight when Hulk is permastunned.

Thoress + IM40 + any warm body, basically. Recharge goes off = game over.

This is just to make a game of it:

Three different stuns. Protect tiles while the Hulk is smashing. Strike tiles while he's napping. See how many times you can flip them.

IM 40, 3* cap, prof x. Recharge, stun, shield throw , psychic convergence, go invis, strengthen tiles, keep stunning and throwing sheilds.

The attack and strike tiles pile up and get strengthened pretty quick.

All championed under level 200, I beat level 430 Hulk with 3* Luke Cage, 3* IM, and 3* SW. Got him 4 times, 430 was the last. Bored so I didn't go for 5 or 6.

I used im40, patch and peggy for most of the first sub. For the 3-1 fight with hulk I used replaced peggy with iceman. The strategy was simple.

Starting board will either have some yellow matches or some blue ones.
If there are more yellow than blue, start with that, fire recharge if it ensures that all countdowns will go off and then have fun.

Stun hulk, patch green and dish out the damage. If not enough blue to keep hulk stunned, don't punch that snowman. Gather some more yellow, fire recharge again nd keep at it.

If there are more blue than yellow, start with that, stun hulk and work my way through that. Easy peasy.

    Coulson, SWitch and C4rol

Purple for SWitch stun, Yellow to accelerated SWitch's passive CD, free CD EVERYWHERE from Coulson passives when using any of the two active powers characters and Photonic Barrage, let the strike tile, go for broke after CDs resolved.

Even against a LVL 460 Hulk, the team I use has never failed - Patch, 3-star Daken and the key to my success is...drum roll please.

    ONE STAR BLACK WIDOW.

No, really. 5-turn stun for 9 blue, stealing his green and red with her purple. Daken and Patch tank for her, and generally heal up each turn enough not to have any problems. You want green and red for Patch, but given a choice between letting him have green or red, you should match the red and let him take the green. You can survive a Thunderous Clap, but you cannot survive a Smash.

Keep collecting AP until you have enough blue to stun Hulk for 10 turns, then let loose with Patch's abilities. 5/3/5 is actually better in this case, as you want more strike tiles. Never use Daken's blue, unless it's to finish the match.

Edit - OK...The team doesn't lose unless Hulk gets 10 green *and* 14 red in the first five turns thanks to cascades galore. icon_redface.gif

I have no useable 4*s, so I've been using Switch, 3* Strange, and 3* Thor - though I really just need the first two. Save up blue and purple until they can both fire stun and it's basically over since by the time the stuns wear off, you've got enough AP to fire them both again.

I would keep Switch, but I would switch strange and thor for im40 and cap if you have them. I feel like they are more versatile this way.
Priorotise yellow. If not, look for blue. Let switch do her thing with purple. If hulk gets angry, you can override his cd with cap. Worked wonders for me when I was in a similar situation

Looks like I'm the only one who use icon_daredevil.png in this case. Combined with icon_lukecage.png and icon_ironfist.png. Stun, deal damages and collect blacktile.png AP, stun with Cage if needed + major damage... It's slow but effective. When you get two icon_daredevil.png stuns rolling, Hulk is basically stunlocked all the time.

I picked my assassination squad for this one: 4hor and X Force.

Stun him with blue, do the Deadpool/Wolverine pink/black combo. Mop him up with red from either Thor or Pool.
