The forum rule:

10. Please don’t restart discussions that already exist. Before starting a new thread, search our forums to see if a similar topic already exists. If you find one, contribute your content to the thread that is already established.

Should probably be adjust to account for:

Please do not post in older threads, as the content in those threads might potentially be incorrect and misleading.
If you would like to discuss a subject that was brought up in the past, please start a new thread. Thank you.

This is fine and all, but what constitutes an "older thread"? If there's actually going to be a rule limiting the relevance of threads based on their age, then I think that age limit should be more specifically defined.

A few of us have recently been dredging up old threads in which the D3/Hibernum employees have made us promises which they have not kept, or at least implied promises.

I imagine this new change in the rules is an attempt to silence us.

Thanks for taking the time to dig up the actual forum rules Fiddler. The thing I find most ironic is that the thread in question was neither misleading nor did it contain incorrect information (beyond the 'duplicates to runes' conversion system not existing back then). What it did contain was information that this game has had an unfair loot/dupe system since its inception. And we might have a new, better system in a few months.
