Time to level up

In my opinion, it s time to level up Pw to 65 or 70 because some cards are so powerfull and that s removing fun and the gameplay is awful, and you can rebalance old Pw and abilities, we had at least 5 big updates since the beginning so it s time to level up, all games do it for the gameplay.

Ps: i have got all pw except t2 because i don t want to spend more money in this game for the same reasons of the majority players, all 60. I know it s difficult to lvl up but we can use runes because untill now we can do nothing with them.

Plus, it would be nice to have something to spend 1 Million runes on. I tried shopping for a hat online but no one would take them icon_e_sad.gif

This plan has some merits. The planeswalkers now have wildly differing power levels and they could be balanced out in the jump to lvl 70. Mana gains and life totals could be flattened, and bumping PW abilities up to level 5 adds further possibilities for balance as well as potentially shaking up gameplay a little. Caution should be taken with already OP PWs, tho, Ob in particular has a very OP set of abilities. Perhaps not every PW should see an increase in ability level.

I would NOT, however, like to see PW life totals increased significantly across the board... cards from older sets are being left behind by power creep, and increasing life totals would probably exacerbate this. Last year both Relic Seeker and Skysnare Spider from Origins were deemed too powerful at 12 mana for 6/6 creatures.... and now we're looking at a bunch of 12-13 mana 8/8s, as well as a 14 mana 12/12. I'd like to see PWs with low life totals bumped up, like L1, or Sorin, but I wouldn't like to see anyone go over 120 life.

Also the loophole by which players get easier matches in events by deliberately not levelling up their PWs would have to be closed. In this poll only half of the entrants said they'd level up their Tez2 to 60 when they buy him, and this problem will only get worse over time.

It's possible they could just increase mana gains and life without adding a 5th tier of planeswalker abilities, and those planeswalkers already at optimal power level would see very minor adjustments, maybe more slots in the decks for certain types of cards, or get "planeswalker regeneration improved", whatever that means, for the final 10 levels. Also to the point of matchmaking, a level 60 walker should be able to be paired off against anything up to level 70 if that's the case so as not to give a benefit to those leaving theirs at 60.

However, I don't see them actually doing this because planned obsolescence. If they make Origins Liliana or Gideon powerful, then they have to work harder to design a mono-white or mono-black planeswalker we want to buy in the future. However, if those two stay at their current power level, we will almost be forced to buy the new ones just to keep up.

You have good arguments but i use them against your opinion: 14 mana for 12/12, 8 mana for 8/16 etc your battles last some rounds in the beginning you need reflexions to use your cards now we spam often cards no fun no brain. And we have to go on with new cards and unfortunately play less with older cards it s like everything old things are obsolete so we change them. For the twinks ( when i played world of warcraft we call them like that) if you didn t level up your pw yo must not have good rewards it s logical, max lvl+top players = best reward...but D3 forgets it.
    Respectfully my friend

Stop with the ridiculous good ideas guys.. honestly, can't you understand they are busy plotting out their next event which will look identical to the others but now you will have optional objectives of fabricating 100 servos, casting 50 Homunculi, and spending $100 for max points.

I like the idea of L70 giving a new deck slot.

Or maybe, anything past L60 doesn't give any in-game benefits, but regeneration and deck slots.

    61: regen
    62: regen
    63: increase allowed supports/spells/creatures
    64: regen
    65: deck slot
    ...
    70: deck slot
    ...
    100: decrease PW ability cost

Not sure I like that idea... firstly it would either make deck slots hella expensive in runes, or else, they'd have to drop the rune cost of high levels, which is not intuitive; and secondly, if they wanted to increase the level cap of planeswalkers in the future so that their powers could be increased, then everyone would have to spend a ton of runes on deck slots first before they could get at the new level cap.

It would act as something of an incentive to stop people leaving their PWs at low level, but honestly, that loophole needs to be closed completely, not gently discouraged.

There's no reason that deck slots should be limited to people fortunate enough to have planeswalkers at high level.

There are plenty of people playing this game that are participating in events in lower tiers, and still leveling their planeswalkers. Let's think of them as well. Quality-of-life changes shouldn't be gated away behind level.
