Having more than 3 creatures

Let's say that I have 3 creatures in play and I end up casting Turn Against (and queue another casting of a different creature). Before, I could take control of the opponent's creature then cast my new creature (destroying one of mine to make room for the new one). Now, I have to choose one of my creature to destroy, then it gets destroyed, then the controlled creature gets in the third spot, then I have to choose another of my creatures to make room for the new one. Is this supposed to be like that? It wasn't working that way before and I think having to sacrifice TWO creatures to get my new one is a bit over the top.

I always cast my creatures first and then use
    turn against.
