Swapping cover-colors: now a customer service routine?

I see more and more often people on here saying that they got an undesired color of their cover and that customer service swapped it for them. And also people saying that they are about to put a ticket with a swap-request.
Is this now a routine?
Is this a preparation for "colorless" covers? Colorless covers would seem more convenient for the customer service, I would think.

What are the routine guidelines for getting a cover-swap-request approved? Has this been defined?
As far as I have come to understand it's basically only viable regarding 5* characters.
Does the given character need to be at 5/5/0 for this?

As I'm still in 3* land this doesn't concern me yet but I'm curious about what progression this might lead to. icon_e_smile.gif

If this has been defined, just point me in the right direction and forget about this thread.

(also please move the thread if it's relevant to another sub-forum, I have no idea why I put in in character discussion)

    It's only for fivestar characters currently in Latest Legends (so Thanos, Black Panther and Hawkeye as of yesterday) and only for covers you cannot use as far as I know. Also it is for a limited time only and may end without prior warning.

    Thanks! Yeah, this is about as much as I also figured about it all. But shouldn't this be in their FAQ if it is, as it seems to be, a routine?

    It's unofficial really, just common knowledge to people at that stage of the game.
