3 Star Hawkeye question

I see that 5 star Hawkeye has stopped being a new character as 4 star iron fist has become available in the current event as a progression reward. However the 3 star Hawkeye is still listed as new despite coming out at the same time.

When will it stop being a new character so it can be selected as a Bonus Hero? I hope it's not waiting till the next release of another 3 star?

    3 and 4* characters enter the tokens at the start of the new season, after they have had their release PVE, a PVE where they were featured and their PVP.
