In game messages from Support

Last month, I opened a ticket about the VIP bonus CP bug. That was resolved quickly and I was happy.
This morning while I was playing MPQ, a notification banner popped up saying I had a new message from Support. I opened it and it was the message I had sent to Support last month. I typed in a reply, and now I have 2 new messages from Support. This was all within the MPQ app. Nothing external like iMessage or whatever. What's going on here?
The banner is gone now, but I'm still curious as to what that was about.
