Ok I'll admit I'm old. I'm in the 30-40 balding overweight age category. I can generally follow along with most slang lingo and whatever else most people choose to make up on spot in the internet forum board rants. However I'm stumped. I'm noticed tinykitty tiniest of kitties and various other reference to small felines in these forums but no where else so i'm just gonna ask.

What the heck is Tinykitty supposed to be in reference to? is it a cute cuddly kitten? that seems like a good thing. is it a whiny **** cat that would be less good. is it some obscure reference to female genitalia in regards to gender discrimination and defamation? well that's just sad. understandable but still sad.

Anywho if someone could explain this or direct me to the correlating internet article that explains it I would appreciate it because I'm not having any luck researching on my own, and I appreciate knowing the slang i'm slinging.

Given this post from 2013, on these very forums, I'd say it's a localized dialect thing. icon_e_smile.gif

The forum autocorrects anything it considers vulgar to tinykitty.

But to be fair to the OP, people also use the term deliberately so it's not entirely clear that it stems from a software autocorrect function.

Actually, it did START with the autocorrect (see the forum posts further down from the one posted above) but I wouldn't be surprised if people appreciated its, shall we say, quaintness? and started using it on their own. icon_e_wink.gif

I'm sure as tinykitty going to use it if I ever decide to curse on these forums, but I've never been tinykittied to tinykitty enough over this game to do so. icon_razz.gif

That link gave me so much nostalgia. IceIX commented on it. He was a developer on the Marvel side that truly cared and appreciated the community. He retired about a year and a half ago from D3. He is what all community managers/ developers should strive to be.
