Creature ordering on battlefield

The last couple of days, I've seen odd switching around of creatures and I wanted to find out what ACTUALLY is the right priority...

My understanding is that any card that has Block has first priority over a Vanguard card and then a card given Vanguard with block, through Haunted Cloak, for instance, would be switched around upon a new creature entering the battlefield.

Recently, I have seen my Blockers (Prized Amalgam) suddenly get moved UP one in favor of a Menace/Lifelinked (playing Liliana and Zombies getting affected by Olivia's buff and by Graf Harvest) creature.

This sadly caused my Amalgam to be free to attack and my growing zombies useless (Oath of Liliana). Until just recently, blockers stayed on the bottom/1st slot and others stayed above that.

Is this a bug or a new "feature"? What causes the AI to shift around creatures, anyway?

Thanks.

did your opponent have 1st creature disable against
    your creature?
(I think disabling the defender sometimes confuses
    the creature order)

Ugh...I hate this! It has been happening to me too. No creatures disabled.

For the Liliana game, yes, for the other (Gideon using third tier ability on a Gisela) no.

I definitely agree that the AI is getting confused, though... icon_e_confused.gif

omg yes, this is annoying. Having it happen a lot lately, and it's especially bad when it comes to effects like Claustrophobia being in effect on the field. I've had recently where I have a disabled defender in play, I play a creature with haste, it somehow ends up on the first creature slot, and then gets disabled by Claustrophobia and doesn't attack.
