Two spots open, three hero rewards. Thoughts?

So unless I get very lucky with HP, I'm going to have to make a choice in a little over two days.

My current roster:

Sitting in my rewards slot: Modern Hawkeye, Daredevil, Modern Thor

I'm torn between these choices:

1. Nab Thor and Modern Hawkeye, sell Daredevil.

2. Sell MBW, nab all three folks.

3. Another choice, if there's a better course.

I'm still very much working on leveling my 1* folks, with hopes to start getting more traction for my 2* folks soon. So I know that having a bunch of 3* people basically just fills slots, but I also don't want to lose out on folks I have trouble coming by. I'm a pure FTP person, and only spending HP on slots so far. Daredevil (much as I love him as a character) sounds a little too fiddly to play with, but I haven't used him, so don't have any first-hand thoughts. Long-term, of course, I'll be selling Classic Hawkeye, but he's still a core part of my offense so far (I got a lot more Hawkeye than MBW tokens early on).

Sell MBW and recruit all of them.

MBW is too low level to be useful in any way and if you keep playing you'll swim in her covers anyway soon enough.

Modern Thor (a.k.a. LazyThor, a.k.a. FatThor) is actually the most useful of the three, but DD and Hawkeye are buffed for PvE events quite often, so you may want to keep them.

Moonstone is probably expendable. I've never used Modern Hawkeye, nor have I ever needed him. Modern Black Widow and Classic Hawkeye are both easily replaceable and neither are required to succeed once you have transitioned past your 1* characters. Daredevil is questionable at this point, too. Marvel Now Magneto isn't going to be massively useful either, unless you're planning on utilizing your Classic Storm a lot (or anyone else you want to feed blue to).

Thanks! Based on these two replies, definitely leaning towards nuking MBW. I've got a sentimental love of Modern Hawkeye (thanks to Fraction's comics), but also want a reasonably diverse team for events (if I hadn't scored Torch during the Unstable ISO, I wouldn't have managed a team of three for the current Heroic event. That's also why I'd like to have a few villains, too (although I've sold all my Yelena, Venoms, and Juggernauts; I'm not that desperate for bad guys). I suspect I'll be cycling some other folks out as I make my way into the 2* range.

if your mbw is 2/5, her level really doesn't matter at all (except in pvp where you'll get hit more by other players). c.hawkeye isn't going to be useful once you move to ** rosters. if you still need to use c.hawkeye, then ditch moonstone (she's a 1 power hero that isn't widely used) or mbw.

m.hawkeye is underrated a bit. he's got a good damage stun and aoe ability. lazy thor is the man. daredevil is basically garbage tier (useless vs goons, okay vs pve heroes, not great on pvp defense), but he's a *** and much much harder to get than any * or ** will ever be.

That's exactly why I would probably dump DD if I were in your shoes. You'd have a hard time levelling him up, since his covers won't be easy to get, and even if you do, he's not by any means worth the Iso. I'm not sure why you would want him on your roster.

Sell Classic Hawkeye. He's a worthless pile of monkey spit.

MBW is your best stun character for now, and there are fights where that is a must-have ability. Eventually Classic Storm will surpass her, but that's not for a while yet.

Modern Hawkeye does get his fair share of buffs, but he's rarely a required character for a node, unlike daredevil. I'd keep daredevil, Fat Thor and bin Hawk Guy twice.

Yeah the first cover for a 3* is the most important, regardless of how much they suck. You never know when the next PVE is going to require DD for you to participate. (It's happened many times before)

Consider selling off Moonstone or Modern Hawkeye if you're not going to dump Classic Hawkeye.


Depending on how long the rewards are available, though, you may want to see who is required and/or boosted for the next event after Heroic Venom ends tomorrow.

I think it's going to be the Simulator, which means about 3 2*s and 3 3*s will have permanent boosts through the event and there will be a rotating set of 3*s with a major boost which are required for certain missions.
