How about daily challanges?

Other successful F2P games have daily challenges for extra rewards. I wonder if that would be a cool thing to have in MPQ.

Maybe this is troublesome on the dev side of things but as a user I think it would add to the game.

For example;
- Generate 10 strike tiles in one game.
- Down the enemy team without using any abilities.
- Perform a specific combo (one that came to mind while thinking about moonstone was to trigger Forest Fire environment ability and then run her red for massive damage).
- Play in all environments within 2 hours.
- Win 10 games with X/Y/Z team
- Level a hero 20 levels in one go.
- Chat with your alliance (I still feel like people are not aware of this function. OR my alliance members don't care to have any interaction).
- Play X number of nodes in an event with only Divine heroes or Dark Avangers or Female/Male heroes.
- Defeat 5 people in PvP from a 5 man alliance or 3 people from a 10+ person alliance.
- Down the enemy team with a specific ability.

You get the gist. If each challenge was worth 500-1000 ISO that would be worth the effort and it would give us an extra thing to strive for.

I don't know how difficult this is to implement on the developers side of things, so I realise that it might not be possible with everything else they have on their plate.

    I really like this idea. One of the things that keeps me coming back to play F2P games every day is daily challenges.

    That sounds way too complicated for them to implement.

    Here is an alternative suggestion for something they can throw together quickly:

    Daily PvE mini-event:
    5 nodes. Random enemy composition from a pool of possible sets (think Simulator event), levels are auto-scaled anyway. First 4 nodes have 250/100 ISO/boost/standard token as reward. Final node unlocks once the other 4 have been beaten once, has a 1 time 500 ISO reward and nothing else. Done. Something new to play every day, absolute minimum of dev ressources required to set up.
  • It could be even simpler if they just picked 3 nodes out of the prologue and gave them a flashy gold border (with some shiny indicator on the chapter selection page saying "daily bonus play in this chapter"). Rewards could be similar - 250 ISO, 10 HP, whatever.

    Oh yes, that sounds great. Just keep it simple, casual, and FUN (crucial word here), and you've got me hooked. I'd love to see some sort of a daily challenge introduced, even a much less trivial than those suggested by OP. Small games, small rewards - just for the sake of relaxing, not grinding mercilessly for points like we're used to.
  • I think I'd prefer a daily event with a single node that gives you a random team composition from your roster to face against either a pre-decided enemy team or also a random selection with the enemies being 30% higher level than the heroes that were selected for you. This way even if the computer pulled out heroes of levels 46/110/6 then that would set the average level for the enemies at 70.

    How about if this was tied in to the Resupply. If you don't beat the daily challenge then your resupply is halted until you completed a daily challenges. I don't know if the resupply is completely reset if you miss a day (I don't think I have missed a day yet), but I am not suggesting it should be reset.

  • Bad me for being a poster before being a mod, but this should probably get moved to suggestions. Leaving a shadow in place to steer conversation there.

  • I don't know if the resupply is completely reset if you miss a day (I don't think I have missed a day yet), but I am not suggesting it should be reset.
    You don't lose out on days -- say you're up to day 104 and you take some days off, the next supply you get will be day 105.

    Having some sort of daily event would be nice (and more variation in event length in general), but blocking the daily supply might lean on the side of frustrating the player.
  • I think any kind of low-key, casual addition, with modest prizes (say, standard and heroic tokens), would be a boon to the game. There is almost no casual play left in the game, which is kind of ludicrous for a match-three type of game. I suspect some people are drifting away from the game because it's virtually impossible to play like, say, Angry Birds - a little bit at a time - which I mainly play while I'm waiting for my wife to finish shopping.
  • I'd like new modes.
    Say you pick 3 characters and the game just gives you 3 random heros villains or goons, any mix of 3 level appropriate that you have to defeat but you don't see which 3 until you fight. Prize Couid be a health pack or 2.

    Another mode Couid be going against the exact team you pick. Same level same ability just to see how you do against ai

    ^ Mid players already do that in every PvP: maxed oBW + Thor/Ares/Wolverine or MMN + cStorm combo + lvl 23 loaner.
