Things D3/Demiurge has done well!

This thread is a positive one praising D3 for the good things in MPQ! You can discuss how some good things might not be your favorite, but please keep this thread positive. This is to show Brigby and others that we do appreciate good things and don't just complain. There is a separate topic for complaints of recent things.
Here are recent changes that I think have been great:
-DDQ Update (The addition of more prizes available to get: extra taco token, elite token, 2 CP and the ability to have 5 days to beat the Crash)
-Inside Job (mini-PVEs rewarding a 4* cover is great!)
-Bonus heroes (not the vaulting part, but just the ability to gain more covers for free at any percentage rate is nice)
- 2nd 4* cover in 7 day PVE progression
-Different colored 3* cover in PVE progression
-Boss events (except Boss Rush) are always fun! Thanks for the Ultron alliance event!
-Buffing terrible characters (while some might be sad they weren't buffed enough, it is nice that these characters were buffed at all)
-Free Valentine's Day covers for sharing MPQ things online
Now some of these could be even better, but I do want to say that these changes have been a definite step in the right direction!
What am I missing? What else do your forumites like?

I also appreciated:
-
- Champion levels for max´ed characters (what would I´ve done without all these champion rewards?)
- S.H.I.E.L.D. Ranks (nice ISO input)

Are you referring to what they have done well in 2017?
As for this, they have done a great job with basically ever buff since this rebalance initiative. Mr. Fantastic's could be considered a disappointment but a lot of players I have spoke with actually really like the new Mr. Fantastic. Mine isn't covered so I will likely never know how he actually plays. Regardless, the other changes this year for Wasp and 5* Cap were very good, while the tweaks to Falcon and Gwenpool were also very positive.0 -

2017 or further back. I just want to let the devs know what we all like so they will continue to improve QoL of the game. Just in case they think we like BLANK but we don't or they don't think we will like BLANK, but we actually really do!0 -
Not sure how far back this is, but two of my favorite improvements are the Star filters in the roster screens and the +1 level button.0
-
SHIELD Intercepts (when they were working) were a nice way to get useful bonuses. I know that sounds a bit backhanded, but when I don't see ads, at least I don't get ads, and if I do see them, I get something useful for my time.0
-
general infusion of iso via ranks and intercepts (except for steam users). that is quite noticeable and is getting closer to 'enough'. not there yet, much better than before.0
-
I think the two best things they've done are champion rewards and shield clearance levels, in that order. As OP mentioned, D3 have done a number of other awesome things, but those are the two that I think improved the state of things for all players.0

I champed Mr. Fantastic shortly before his buff because I had 3 covers in the queue for him and was sick of selling them.
Since then, I've used him to great (one might even say 'fantastic') effect along with Medusa and Carnage.
Remember when A Tree Groots in New York was difficult? Not anymore. Use this team against goons or enemies with cheap spammable powers, and before you know it, you've got a board chock full of friendly attack tiles, doing 5k+ per turn and healing your whole team like crazy.
That Mr. F buff may not have seemed like much, but it gave him amazing survivability when teamed up with the right allies.0 -
Since I posted on the needs improvement section, it is only fair that I do believe several recent changes have been net positive as outlined by the OP.0

Nice list. I agree.0

1)There are about 83 pages of rants that say otherwise , but I think Vaulting is a good thing .It used to be a top complaint; that there is no way to cover the newest characters because of dilution. Vaulting remedies this. Now I'll be able to get into 4* champland sooner, ramp my favorite characters and pull more 5*. The game is better for it.
2)The new characters are great!
-I think Agent Venom is criminally underrated.
-Riri hate=racism. straight up. She's got a good bomb,boardshake/removal, stun. Can play alongside Tony, has a cool tile icon. (her punch should target the rear though)
-is there anything bad to say about Strange?
-Medusa, carol, Coulson add such a great dynamic change to the old save and nuke type of play
-Gwenpool can do everything. 'sploits and chekhovs gun are unique and flavorful, she can team with spidergwen and wade. Humor is always a +
-Mordo is an easy to play villain that fits the backstory.
3)scl level up iso award is sweet!
4) The agent coulson mini event was great and I look forward to the conclusion,a cohesive narrative is one of the things that sets MPQ apart from your standard puzzle drop. plus new mobs!
5) The valentines day twitter free prize for all giveaway was cool
6) the lunar new year sale was neat and I bought in
7)I love the alt art covers for the science awareness and the monster mayhem (I wish I could use some of them year round) and look forward to the next batch
and last but not least of the things that they do well:
8)Brigbys level of engagement and understanding of what a player goes through are to be lauded,I enjoy reading his ongoing post about his personal progress, I just get the feeling that Brigby is a cool person
MPQ is the best!
So until Brian Singer creates a sub-node for the dazzler release, make mine MarvelPQ!0 -
I want to go back to a big one, 20 ISO. Remember that ****? It was the worst. I'm so damn thankful they changed it. And I'm further thankful they also gave an order to PvE node rewards shortly after.0

On topic, I'm really digging the combos we're being forced to use in Behemoth Burrito. Highlighted some great teams I wouldn't have thought of otherwise. Shame a lot of people won't get to experience them, but that's for a different thread.0 -
just want to bump this up some because your improvement post is getting more play...0

Facebook logic at its best. It never ceases to amaze me that the weak minded still pull this card.
What good has been done since I started playing? I would say only bonus heroes. The intercepts could be good, but my Steam account continues to grow leaps and bounds over my phone account despite the lack of intercepts. The new vaulting is laughable at best. The truth is it is pig vomit lying on a pile of mastodon dung. I am almost on the verge of entering **** territory and looking at what is available in the legendary vaults, I either have to cancel the characters I have rostered or get extremely lucky with heroic tokens and/or bonus draws. I suppose I could use command points but that will not help with colors I do not have. The way I see it is this is a big, fat middle finger pointed at newer players.0 -
My opinion isn't popular but I like the Bonus Hero Vault system very much. It speeds up the rate that a new 4* is usable so much that it's ridicules. Before the vault release I had 0 of the 12 champed. Now of the 12 Vaulted Heroes I now have 8 with 13 covers or champed. Plus now I can Bonus a specific hero until I get a that last cover I needed. My 5/2/5 Iceman and my 4/3/5 Nova both got their 13th cover from a bonus. (now if I could just get a Bonus Yellow OML instead of a Black one)
Also I am seeing a whole lot more Champed Wasp, Medusa, Spider Women, Peggy, Bl4de, and Carol than I did before so I'm not the only one taking advantage of it.
Great Job Devs!0 -
D3 has done a lot of QoL changes in last year.
Brigby- tries his best to communicate what D3 "lets" us know and voices forum community concerns. D3 gets good guys for this job as were icex and hi-fi.
choosing star ranking in ur cover que. so u can sell all of those (1 to 5 star) covers instead of 1 at a tiime.
Staying where u last sold a cover instead of going back to top of the cover que.
Vault token pages before bonus heroes. vaults don't get bonus heroes so i'd rather have "regular" token pages now.
elite tokens - but should have been a true (3* or 4*) only token, not a (non 4*) heroic.
New content:
- 4* adventure story that give us iso and 1 cover. need to make more that just AM/chulk/coulson. should be every 4 days changing color covers for every 4*.
-Strange Sight, Duck Season 2 times a year.
- Tried to do 4* 'super" lightning round with 20 man brackets- needed better rewards, rank 1 got 2 tokens, rank 2 got 1 token and 3-8 got 1 elite, couldn't even be a heroic.
-3rd anniversary was better than the awful 2nd anniversary.
I think Bonus Heroes wonderful idea. Vaulting old 4*is a hard thing for people still gaining 4* land, why waste a bonus hero if it's not a usable cover. Need to implement colorless covers.0 -
1) SHIELD Intercepts.
I play some other freemium games where this is an option and for the games that I enjoy, I like this feature. Earning bonuses is a good thing... and especially when it isn't mandatory.
2) Being able to see characters I don't have rostered AND their abilities.
Oh. my. god.
Not only is it useful from an 'educational' standpoint, it also gives me an incentive to push harder to collect characters that I want.
3) Bonus Covers.
... With Vaulting apparently making a comeback, I see Bonus Covers as a band-aid to help mitigate the sting of being unable to pull the older characters from Tokens.
A Chance is better than No Chances.0 -
The 3 new 3* characters are all good, Strange & Thanos are really useful and Hawguy seems lots of fun.0
-
They've been great at testing patches so that there's no bugs after any updates.
Right guys?
