New event featuring Moonstone?

I see that her covers were offered as a prize in the Bad is Good event (or was it Heroic Venom) and now again in the First Avenger event. Is it just part of a cycle of offered covers or are the devs building up to a new event?

It is highly likely that the covers earned in reward will be used in upcoming events.

Not only is Moonstone the 2* cover back to back in Bad is Good and now America, The First Avenger, but there's also a Moonstone cover for the 600 progression reward for this latest event. I think that just about makes her a lock for whatever event is next.

Speaking of the next event, there's a very high chance that it'll have 3* Daken as the reward, and if Moonstone is being buffed, we might be seeing a kind of Dark Avengers PvE. Maybe something similar to The Hunt: Ares? Maybe it'll just be The Hunt: Daken?

I keep getting my hopes up for a villain centric PvE. I'm hoping this latest DA tournament flows into one, but I have my doubts.

With the way they're pumping out Hulk rewards I'm guessing he'll be featured in an event soon. Not really hoping for it but he can be fun while powered up in pve.

BAH, great. Just when I sold off my Moonstone and I have money but iTunes is having issues with my debit card. I was scrambling for HP in the prologue just so I could buy my HT a slot before his cover expired. I have really terrible luck with prologue drops. For example, node with 2/4 rewards obtained should, theoretically, have basically a 50% chance of dropping the ones I don't have. But no, it takes about 6 games (probably more) before I get one of them, and it's not even the HP.

It's like the devs are stalking our posts and plotting to use the heroes that forum goers commonly recommend to be discarded

Ugh, As someone who has just gotten their first 3* to near maxed covers I don't know if I should spread the ISO around anymore.

Do I put ISO into Moonstone, ShieldBro or Hulk???

Probably still going to put it all into Psylocke currently sitting at 120 with my cover-max being 129. Figure it's better to have an awesome support character than yet another 2* at 85 or 3* at 60.

That being said I would like a Moonstone PvP. I feel like she's underrated heavily. Her red is really scary cause the damage output can fluctuate heavily. Imagine her red with the environmental forest fire ability - pure carnage.

Also, Psylocke, BP, ShieldBro and HT ALL have countdown tiles that would be ripe for the picking with Moonstones black. BPs and HTs countdown abilities stay on the board as well.

I guess that's true. But I think she's just one of those characters who don't really become worth playing in the early stages, so I guess people tend to become impatient and sell her off.

The 3* rewards are very often tied to the next event, but the 2*s rarely seem to be anything like as closely linked.

Outside of heroics, PvE events will let you use almost your full collection (no mirror matching, but otherwise you're ok). So even if a hero isn't buffed, you can still use them.
Based off the covers you've listed, I'd suggest either
a)top up Psylocke. Getting your first 3* to 141 will end up being a huge boost in chasing down more ISO and more covers in future events.
b)Hulk. Hulk's much more likely to be featured in the next event. This will still slow you down a little bit in the lead up, but could mean the difference between victory and defeat for a few nodes.
c)Save it. Hulk/Moonstone/Cap are not buffed for Heroic Venom, and only Cap is buffed for his tourney. If you can be patient, save the ISO until the hero list for the next event is announced - then there's no double guessing, and you can put the ISO towards the hero that you need to.

Hope that makes sense.

It's not as great as you think.

I had Moonstone pinch my Plasma Jet in one of the Venom nodes and it worked once then reverted back to my control.

If that's the case, then Moonstone will be one of the perma-buffed 2*s while Hulk will be at least one of the buffed 3*s based on the First Avenger tourney's prizes.

Yes! We players need goon covers. Just because MPQ is a match-three game, why should that fact force the parties involved (be they human or AI) to actually match anything? I want to be like the AI and simply circumvent the entire point of the game, eliminating all strategy involved for the sake of lazily increasing difficulty.

The only PVE events where villains have been buffed, IIRC, were the two Simulator runs.

In addition, they seem to be on a 3-4 week cycle right now where they go simulator, re-run of an event such as The Hunt or Red ISO, Heroic prologue event, and back around to simulator.


Considering this past week was Heroic Venom and the previous week was Red ISO, my money's on the simulator or some brand new episode where villains such as Moonstone are powered up.

Some time ago Moonstone covers were awarded for several events. I have her fully covered. That's how I remember. I doubt she will be a featured character in any event but I'm always up for new content. I think they might put up another Hulk PvE event instead. Just speculating.
