What would it take for D3 to win you back?

We all know its coming D3 is going to do something to try and win us back. It will likely be something underwhelming like 100 unobtanioum crystals and 250 gold crystals.

What would it take, within reason, for D3 to make you forget this terrible decision?

For me I would want Saheli Rei to cost the same as the basic Planeswalkers on Thursday and a pull on the Masterpiece slot machine (the new currency and Masterpieces aren't going anywhere), and everything else reversed.

What do you think they'll do and what do you want them to do?

    Deckslots

    More story mode

    Lower cost for P2P events

Boosting the play experience for low and mid-level players.

Fixing the dupe problem -- you should NEVER get a dupe for a card you paid for (I've pulled 3 Olivia's since I bought her) and you should NEVER get a dupe in a Masterpiece pack.

    Timely and not-redundant support.

More surveys -- like "what do you think of..." before they release stupid features.

    The list is so long.

    Ditto

Revert card packs to pre update versions.

An explanation and apology from Hibernum with an open dialog.

I don't know if they can do anything "within reason" to make me forget, but these would be a good start.

I feel it is safe to say that a monetary apology would be a stretch to cross this ever widening chasm.

I second the long list already stated, and then some. They need to increase communication to brigby and take our suggestions from thoughts to implementation.

The dupes of bought cards is ridiculous. I bought gisella, and then i pulled her 3 times after. Very depressing. Then all i got for my latest donation of $80 was exquisite archangel. That includes my mythic pull and deck purchases with crystals. Thats pretty pathetic results.

Id want to see a serious effort at implementing the suggestions we have spent the past few days brainstorming. Anything less just delays the forthcoming death.

I think that @Brigby often gets blindsided like the rest of us --he is our community voice and should be treated as a valued and trusted member of the team -- he shouldn't have to chase them for answers -- none of us should, but especially him.

Great question! Closing the gap between top tier players and newbies by making it easier for them (newbies specifically and everyone in general) to acquire cards.

I would also be willing to pay a small monthly subscription ($5) to access premium features such as deckslots and tiled/listed PWs (instead of the current side-scroll nonsense)

Those "premium features" should have been built into the game by now. One is a necessity, the other is a fix to the poor initial design.

My apologies if my comment pertaining to brigby was interpreted as ill mannered. I was coming at it from the angle that brigby has to handle all of us with what appears to be little input from the devs. I respect what he is doing, and how, very greatly. However, i feel his role could be a lot easier, and more impactful, with better communication

    Deck slots.

Create packs with guaranteed non dup card of any quality

Remove the ability to buy the new currency with real money, drop the bundle packs back down to prepatch prices, slightly augment the drop rate of the new currency and prosper. This would give everyone a fair shot and make it purely earned (and a goal driven objective) rather than p2w and the currency devaluation would be reversed. With slightly increased shard rewards the rewards from the paid event would be worth paying and playing for.

This is how I see it being fun, fair, and feel more honest.

To me it'd be simple. Just revert this patch. I was plenty happy before this patch!
  • They wouldn't have to do anything for me. I'm largely neutral with regards to the changes that were made. Smaller player pools for events is refreshing and I am no longer facing the same dozen platinum players anymore!

I made a thread earlier where I said that this was the one part of the update I actually really like

Increase the monitization by 10% instead of 300%.

    The End.

Communication and transparency on what they are trying to achieve with the changes they are making.
