Spider Woman or Hawkate?

I managed to get the red Star Lord cover I needed (Thank you, Ultron!!) and he's not champed. 3 covers applied and one had 6 hours to go. Cut it damn close.

My next dilemma is I have a spare Spider Woman cover and a spare 4* Hawkeye cover. Both are at 13 covers already and I'm short on ISO. I can make enough to champ one, but probably not both. Especially since I'm using ISO from sold 2* champs to pull this off and will need to fund them again some time.

I'm very tempted to champ Kate simply because she seems like a high damager. Spider Woman's cool and all, but I don't know if I value her higher than Kate. Am I maybe missing a trick and she's actually tons better?

I hope to get a clear concensus.

Depending on if anything changes re: vaulted characters, you'll pull more Spider-Woman than Kate. From a gameplay standpoint, I prefer Hawkeye for her powerful direct damage over Spider-Woman, who plays to me like a mix of Fury & Elektra.

I had considered that, however I am also going to assume that 3* Hawkguy will give Kate covers when champed. I'm also assuming eventually 2* Hawkeye will give HawkGuy covers when champed.
So while that's a long way around, it's certainly a way of getting covers for her. Spider Woman does not have that after she's vaulted.

Valid points. I think if you champ Kate you'll get some use out of her, but Spider-Woman feels like she'd go right on the shelf to collect dust.

    I had the same dilemma.
I finally decided to champ Kate cause I think it'll be easier to find covers to champ Jessica, later.
And I'm sure I'll have more fun using Kate than Spider-Woman. She makes a lot of damage.

Spider-woman will probably be available in tokens for at least two more season, it seems likely only Peggy will leave the token pool next season.
Still, if the OP enjoys Kate more there's no harm in champing her first. She's badass, and there will be opportunities to get her covers even if she's not in tokens.

SW seems pretty meh to me but I haven't still played with a leveled one yet. But she will rotate out soon. On the other hand Kate is for me a must start when boosted (amazing damage and pleasure to play) so I would say go for Kate and don't look back. If you get another SW in couple of weeks you might still champion her. Or you might let her go into the oblivion if the cover doesn't fall and she goes out of tokens.

I think Spider-Woman is generally underrated as she is quite versatile. Her purple can wipe out enemy tiles (including countdowns) relatively cheaply OR put out some very strong traps, and her black is unique and very useful for PVE (Ares Sunder doing zero damage to her while he hurts himself always makes me chuckle). Her red is unfortunately very expensive but it does pack a punch if you want to use her with IM40.

HOWEVER, the meta in this game is speed, which generally equals high damage characters. Kate definitely brings that to the table, as all three of her abilities have the potential to do a lot of damage, and in colors that aren't super common for big nukes. I think with a roster like yours you would be much more likely to use Kate regularly compared to Jessica.

What you want to do is champ Kate. You know how everyone justifies champing a 4-star 'because they're a beast when champed'? Yeah, she's always a beast.
