The change for progression reward in Oath II event is BAD

I remember full well that for Oath events, the progression reward threshold below the final 55-point reward was 40, and below that was 30, if I remember right.

Given how atrociously DIFFICULT Oath part II can be (I managed to beat Kozilek only because I've played a long time and have a few decent mythics), what makes you think it's a good idea to increase the threshold?

If you don't want to make it easier for players to obtain their progression rewards, at least don't make it harder.

Sincerely.

I'm alright with the rewards being spread out across more tiers, but lowering them???? no thanks.

Since Oath II forces you to beat Tyrant II in order to reach max progression, and based on repeated feedback on the event, I guarantee you a large portion of the playerbase just skips the last progression in that event.

That means many players would just stop at 40, which is quite easy to obtain if you have a base selection of planeswalkers.

Solution to get people to play to progression would be to swap the Tyrant objective II and III, which puts Oath II and Oath I in the same ballpark of amount of effort required vs. reward obtained.

However, it seems that instead of making the change that would encourage players to go to full progression willingly, they instead just raise the requirement for the second last progression in order to force players to "play the event more".

    Whatever.

I just played the first three encounters. Is it me or did they LOWER the rewards (platinum tier)? Why on Earth reduce it, 5 crystals... really?? I mean, it's not like we can get anything useful for the runes and crystals we grind... not even mentioning the very probable dupe rare at 55 ribbons.

That's exactly what I did too. For Oath II, I always stopped at 40 points; It's just way too difficult to reach that 55-point threshold, so I never bothered.

Thus the increase from 40 point to 45 points annoys me the most.
