My Problem with Gonti's Aether Heart

This is not a request to nerf Gonti's Aether Heart... it's a request to remove it from the AI's decks in the Revolt Against the Consulate Event.

To be blunt, this card is not fun. I don't like that it goes infinite with Aethergeode Miner, I don't like when I have to wait whether I will lose all my life or just almost all of it through Dynavolt Tower, and I don't like wondering if I should just quit or wait out until Mechanized Production or Planar Bridge creates something so large it will one shot me (if it ever gets to that point since the AI is still stacking bonus moves), which I may survive but probably won't. The games involving Tezzeret the Schemer have felt like a debate as to whether being comped 50 runes is worth it, and to a lesser extent Planar Bridge (but Planar Bridge it's easier to attack the combo since I don't have to worry about random tokens on top of the combo running a creatureless deck).

The worst part is coming in specifically to stop being looped out of the game is just not good enough. I don't mind difficult matches. I've powered through every absurdly powerful opponent before Revolt Against the Consulate. The difference is being looped out can turn a game around and kill me or bore me out of the game in one ten minute turn. It wouldn't be such a problem if the game just wasn't so good at pulling it off even through me hating supports and playing cards that wipe Energy off the board.

Please just remove the support from the event decks. As long as whatever hypothetical card replaces it does not create an infinite loop, I'll probably be fine with whatever replaces it. This is not about the event being too difficult; this is about games becoming a slog and boring because infinite loops are just not fun. And as far as I know, Gonti's Aether heart isn't problematic enough to be a problem outside the event decks, yet.

The good news is it's already been changed, and the update will be released tomorrow.

I certainly sympathize about the lack of enjoyment that comes from infinite loops, as anyone who's read the Baral thread knows by now. =) Hang in there. The changes to Heart will at least cause it to stop in the AI decks, though it will still be a challenge.
