Best four star to max champ
Copps
So after I finish off carol I'm going to swap my bonus four to someone I want to push up to max champ. I'm looking for opinions from people in the five star range who I should the most effective four star when boosted to five star levels. Red hulk? Peggy? Deadpool? Iceman?
If it makes a difference I currently have a max covered widow and 11 cover bolt and strange. Waiting on the hopefully upcoming pve changes before I decide if I should level them and bolt is my five star fave.

A bit of speculation on my part as I am not where you are looking for help (rather closer to your situation) but with the post in it's easier to follow a discussion
I would start with Hulkbuster. His red is cheap but powerful. Mine is currently at 298 so the last time he was boosted he was dealing about 15k damage for 9 AP. It translates to one-shoting many 5* i have encountered (not maxed ones). I can imagine that at 370 and boosted he can one-shot them all. And his health is rather significant as well so he should hold a bit of beating from match damage. Not boosted it's around 1300 per AP at 370. Nothing to show for against 5*.
Iceman seems like a good option as his stun can be crucial and scaled up will do lots of damage. Plus his green AOE is helpful. On top of that he is somewhat complementary to Hulkbuster (not his purple and blue overlap but still).
Of your list: Peggy is less level dependent to slow the opponents down (Yellow and Blue) - i wouldn't care much for her. Redhulk is good AOE and health but I would take Hulkbuster over him to fight 5*. Deadpool is a great 5* partner and a good killer (his black can trigger on match damage alone in some cases and it's very helpful.
I would rate the ones you mention in the following order: Hulkbuster (my addition), Iceman, Deadpool, Red Hulk and Peggy. Carol D could crack the list and also Cyclops.0 -
Rhulk is the best to max-champ. He's absolutely terrifying in PVP, especially at very high levels. I normally use OML/PH in pvp, but when Rhulk is boosted, I use OML/Rhulk instead.
He's the only 4* I would use instead of my 5*s. Granted, my 5*s aren't championed yet, so once I get them championed (in a few years?), then I might not use Rhulk as much in PVP. But for now, he's a must, and the higher, the better.0 -
Another 4* who pairs well with a 5* is Nova with OML. All his cheap powers spit out strike tiles, which then trigger OML’s strike tiles so you’re quickly doing tons of match damage with every match (and OML also will tank black, yellow or red instead of Nova, keeping him hid by the self healer).
One I’ve heard recommended before too is X-Force Deadpool with his black at 5 covers as a another good choice to help you fight 5*’s. If paired with a high level 5*, they’ll tank each hit and even then regular matches from an enemy high level 5* should trigger his black almost every turn (Countdown for What just adding more on top of that.) I‘ve haven’t tried this one myself yet but it seems sound in theory.0 -
4* Deadpool's black gets worse the higher level he becomes because his black doesn't trigger on match damage anymore.
Level 332 has his black at 2k+ which already is too high for most match damage.
He's good at very high levels, but not for his black.0 -

Yes, max-champed and boosted, it takes about 6600 to trigger his black. But, as you imply, he's still good at 5/3/5.
I'd probably go with Rulk. He's just a pain for 5* players.
Cyclops and X-23 are also excellent; good enough to take on 450-470 5*s.
Hulkbuster isn't bad, getting to 3k per AP with a ton of hp. Certainly, one-shotting a champion Thanos, as I did a few events ago, is amazingly satisfying. But I would take any of the above over him.
Iceman is good, but less intimidating than the others. I would probably take him before Hulkbuster too.
The others I would think about, but don't have direct experience with (at or near that level) are, in rough order of my expectation of being worthwhile: Medusa, Carol, Punisher, Moon Knight, and Nova.
Hope that rambling helped.
Edit: somehow forgot Peggy in list at end. She's up there with Medusa, Carol, and Pun. Also forgot to say that I have Jean and Thing up there, and I don't play them.0
