Baral's Expertise Bug [Fixed]

Baral's Expertise does not fire if you do not have a card costing 8 mana or less in hand. This is even when the opponent has a creature on the board and 5 cards or less in hand. I would think the priority check should be whether the opponent has 5 cards or less in hand and a creature to bounce rather than the condition of whether you have a card in hand costing 8 mana or less.

Also the card gives you two prompts, one to confirm bouncing target creature controlled by the opponent, and another to confirm that you are going to make a card in hand costing 8 or less get filled full of mana. The second prompt should be removed as explained above.

I hope they see this. I was very surprised when I couldn't cast it (no card < 8 in hand). I was also wondering why I was getting prompted twice.

I thought it screwed the order up (asking to choose a creature, then asking if you want to cast the spell, which should be the other way around), but your assessment may make more sense.

In addition to the glitches, this card is incredibly difficult to use and in practice gives very marginal effects for its cost compared to Anchor to the Aether.

BaralEx's ability will fill the first card in hand costing 8 or less, but if it's already full of mana you get nothing. What I find in practice is that I have to line up the cards I want in order before casting Baral in order to try and get some efficiency with this. If I'm waiting for my opponent to play a big threat, then my next card ends up getting filled with mana while waiting, thus negating any potential mana gain from playing BaralEx. If my opponent already has a threat on board, then very rarely do I get just enough mana to fill BaralEx and then have it efficiently fill my next card. Most of the time I end up filling the next card with overflow of mana gain after BaralEx is filled, so maybe I get a few mana, or maybe I get nothing at all. It's also a real pain trying to rearrange your hand and make calculations in order for the card to provide any additional benefit.

I think its gimmicky mechanics aren't worth including in any Baral based deck, which is pretty sad since you would think that it should be run with Baral. I find the mechanics more of a headache than a boon, and as such I think there are much better cards to be using in its place. Anchor to the Aether costs 7 and draws another card, if you have Baral on board then it costs 4 with the potential of drawing into another spell for an extra 3. Harbinger of Tides costs 10, puts a 4/4 chump troop on the field which can eat an opponent's banked kill spell (very valuable), and uses up a Creature slot instead of a Spell slot which of course allows space for one more spell in a Baral deck.

Perhaps I need more experience, perhaps I'm terrible at this game, but I find this card quite underwhelming since Blue already has access to plenty of other bounce spells. I was Ok with the cost as long as it provided some ability to shift momentum, but ironically it ends up messing up my own momentum.

I cast it as my 1st card followed by a 9+ mana card as my
2nd card and then the 8 mana max card as my 3rd card. a
little inflexible but can be a potential cost 2 mana bounce.

I experienced a bug where my Baral's expertise just could not return any creature of my opponent.
I had cards with lower cost than 8 in my hand. When I casted it, I chose my opponent's creature and I was prompted again, and I pressed ok.
Nothing happened. So it's a spell that didn't do anything. And of course, that costed me my game thanks to this bug.
The weird thing is, I was able to use it in most situations except that one situation.
Please relook into this card and makes sure it's working as intended.
