The New Enchilada

So, with so many things changing lately, it's been hard to keep up on the forums. I haven't seen it mentioned, and I don't know if anyone else feels the same, but, the new version of the Big Enchilada is a pain in the tinykitty. I mean, my roster can handle it easy enough, but, I feel I am using only my top tier characters to slice through that combat zone. I used to love using the Enchilada as a guinea pig to experiment with characters I don't use that much. New content is always appreciated, though, just wondering if anyone else feels the same about it.

No, not in the least. I find it easier actually. I still use my old team of lazy cap, IM40, and 3strange. Business as usual.

I often just end up using the Team from dat required character, but all of my 3's are level 127 or higher and max covered
my old BE Team (4Clops, X-23, and Kamala Khan) can't be bothered with something that easy

Love the new format. That wave node is so much faster now. Just stick Strange out there and watch the bodies hit the floor.

It's fast and easy! I couldn't ask for anything more.

i'm still using it as a testing ground. nothing has changed there. I try to go into this battle with under-used characters.

my effort over the past week or so in TBE has been with Mystique and trying to find good partners for her. today was Myst/SL/Natasha. probably the best team yet, although not an over the top winner.

I agree that the new node is much worse for experimentation.

The old TBE was a great way to test low-covered 4*s and 5*s to figure out how they work without much real risk. It lasted long enough to experiment with powers, but wasnt too hard to beat. The new one is too short for the same kind of experimentation.

But on the plus side, the new TBE is much faster. The secret is 3* thanos. He is devastating for singe wave fights with 4+ opponents. The whole thing takes me 90-120 seconds each day now.

Since the usual collect AP, burst down movers, repeat pattern doesn't work any more, I decided to give 3* Thanos/3* Dr. Strange/someone else a try and it is like a Hulk smash through butter.

I'm using my 5*s who never get any play otherwise along with 3* Thanos. Gets it done in under 3 minutes.

I'm very thankful this changed. It's much less grindier and I fly through the new DDQ faster than I flew through the old one even with Behemoth Burrito.

So much this. Court Death makes this new mode super easy and much faster.

Yeah, I'm using my unleveled Thano3 woth 5 in black. Usually with IF and Strang3.

Strange, Bullseye and Falcon. Done in a couple of minutes minimal damage. Usually have 3/4s or more strike tiles by the end.

It goes really quick with 5* Thanos.

TOTALLY agree! The whole revamping of ddq seems specifically designed to make you use health packs. The new burrito node is even worse! Seems like the team you are forced to use is the worst possible team to match up against the enemy. I used to enjoy the enchilada, but no more. I used to enjoy ddq - but no more. icon_e_sad.gif

    IM40, Peggy, RHulk.
Race to 6 yellow, slap the timers down, get some purple, AoE RHulk green, Peggy stun with blue, murder someone with red, then sit and wait for the timers to resolve.
    Easy =)

I enjoyed the old more but the new is easier. I bring Fist, Thanos, and Strange and it's over in like 3 turns.

Still using it as a testing ground for my newer partially covered 4*s at level 70. If I don't make it thru (which is rare), I'll try a different underlevelled combo.

Like the new enchilada. DDQ is for me a formality to fulfil in order to access better daily rewards. I never appreciated investing as much time as the previous version took and I'd be aghast if they had kept the old version while adding a 6th node.

If you want to try new teams, do it in SHIELD simulator where you'll be presented with more "real" battle situations (i.e. facing a team crafted by a human being) than anything you can find in DDQ with little to no risk.

I find the new DDQ one of the best changes in the past year, perhaps only bested by the championing system.
    1. existing nodes have become easier
    2. we get additional nodes
    3. we get more rewards

What's not to like? As a transitioning 3* to 4* player I'm able to comple all nodes fairly quickly. A beginning player or 2-3* player will of course not be able to do so but then again, your rewards in DDQ will grow organically as your roster grows and you are able to get more and faster rewards from it.
