What to spend HP on

So my work was kind enough to give us a 350.00 bonus today with that said some went to savings and bills. so i have an extra 50-100 bucks
i might be willing to spend on this game if it makes a big enough difrence for me in game, im currently only got a strong 2 star team
and slowly makign the transsition to 3 star, should i spend a lil on buying the cover packs like heroic ten pack but then again could be total
waste and not get a 3 star thoughts, or save until next sale

  • If your gonna spend it, only buy covers for 3* characters. You do that in the train powers tab
  • My highest 3 star is punisher 1/2/1 what should i try to shoot for as far a build
  • It really depends on what team you plan on running. Most people put 5 in red to do a good amount of damage for it's AP cost, including it's useful ability. You should really try to expand on more than just one character though since some characters won't be available in some tournaments. Look at other threads on what teams they should use to get an idea of what you should be aiming for, it will really help you in the long run on getting more characters quicker.

3/5/5 is the generally accepted build. What level is your human torch? he might be a worthwhile guy to buy into if you have the covers for him. I'd also consider roster slots if you need those.
  • HT is 1 red 1 green, basically just looking into getting a 3 star its kinda taking a long time to get these covers, i have all the 3 star characters but like 3 or 4 max covers for them. been saving iso around 60k and HP like 1000 so far, i just really want to spend it lol tired of looking at all these and not being able to spend it lol so frustrating but thats the fun of the game too

If you have all the covers available, maxing spidey's blue would probably make the most difference. After that, LazyThor would probably be the safest option
  • How many roster slots do You have? Most important thing is to have around 40 (if You want to have all the chars) or 30 (getting rid of the lame ones).

Could You please post Your roster? Without the 1* chars. Levels and covers. This would help us to help You icon_e_smile.gif

Maxing Punisher is a very good option - he's very useful and not as limited as for example Patch.

    mags 70 5/3/5 can bring to 85
    capt merica 55 5/1/5

    steve rogers 1/1/2 at 30
    punisher 1/2/1 at 30
    im40 3 red at 23
    BP 1 yellow 2 blue at 20
    daredevil 2 purple 3 red 18
    HT 1 green 1 red at 18
    rags 3 green 1 red at 15
    GSBW 2/1/1 at 15
    psylocke 2/1/1 at 15
    loki 2 black 1 purple 15
    hulk 1 green 1 black at 15
    patch 1 green 1 yellow at 15
    doom 1 black 15
    hood 1 yellow 15
    thor 1 green 15
  • Punisher and OBW already make a great team on their own and already cover all colors except for yellow, so you should try to find someone with a good yellow if you want a rainbow team, but if not, getting someone who can be your hp tank in the team (that doesn't overtake OBW blue or purple for stealing reasons, since Punisher already overtakes black) can be great as well while providing a variety of abilities.
  • Punisher + OBW and welcome some good times. I'm running this team (+featured char OR MStorm) and on offence I can deal with anything except 3x141.

Just be sure to get some roster slots first, You won't regret it.

Were I in your position, I'd push my roster size to at least 30, right off the bat. Dakenator is comin' 'round the bend, and surely more characters after him.

Punisher is very versatile, and is one of the most solid 3*s you can get. You can't really go wrong by investing in him.

But, if you're gunning for full covers, I'd seriously consider Mr. Rogers. You have four covers each in Punisher and Mr. Rogers, and Mr. Rogers is a less versatile character. However, Rogers covers are being given out like candy in ongoing events (at least 3/3/0 without alliance rewards, 3/3/3 w/ alliance). Punisher covers, for the moment, can only be gotten through lucky token pulls. Getting 3/3/0 in rewards would take your Mr. Rogers to 4/4/2,and you can finish him off with, say, a 4/5/4 build. Or, get slightly lower placement, and buy the rest of your way to an optimal 3/5/5 build.

Buy Hero Points and then :

    a) if you're not in an alliance, join/"buy" a spot in one, spend the rest on roster slots,
    b) if you're already in one or don't want to join (?), spend HP on roster slots.
  • How often is punisher given out as rewards? I am at 1/2/5 now with Steve Rogers but I don't see spending my ISO on him as I don't see how usefull he is

Recently, not often at all. His covers were given out as progression rewards in (I think) 2 of the 7-8 most recent PvE events. That's it.

My Punisher is stuck at 2/3/3. In the time it took me to get maybe 5 of those 8 covers (I did miss one or two of those progression rewards), I got a 3/3/4 BP and a 3/5/3 LThor from scratch.

Having just used a puny L30 Mr. Rogers (at 3/5/5, though) in about a dozen fights in the First Avenger PvP, I'll say that Rogers is a beasty beast. After you get four red matches, you just need one red match every few turns to keep the big-hit-every-three-turns pain train going.
  • Punisher rewards are relatively rarer now because he's become an older character. Psy, Torch, Lazy cap, Lazy thor, BP, Daredevil, patch came after, so those will more likely be the rewards you see.

Lazy Cap and Cap are pretty much the same, situational use unless you've built a team around them. I prefer lazy thor to lazy cap, instant skills (no count down) he can chain skills one to the other, and he has AOE Call the Storm.

If you are willing to wait, there is supposedly a new Daken in the works lol.

I think lazyCap is a lot better than normal cap because of how his red now actually does considerable amounts of damage. Whereas lazyCap was bottom-mid tier of 2*s, I would consider lazyCap mid-high tier of 3*s: his blue and red make him as good as characters like Psylocke and such imo.
